(More customer reviews)These "blackout" shades are nothing more than cheap curtains with a seemingly translucent table cloth glued to the back. When they say that they block out 99% of transmitted light, I think that this is a typo or an error in translation. They MUST have meant 9%.
I bought these for my kids' room. My 18 month old twins have had a hard time adjusting to the longer days, and I was hoping these would block out the light that their blinds are letting in.
I'd be exaggerating if I said the room was brighter with them up, but not by much. It almost seems that the curtains soften and diffuse the light, but make no effort to block it!
Don't waste your money.
