I have one of these. It can be a pain to operate sometimes but it does make your fringe uniform and saves time, usually. Some papers are a hair to wide and it wont feed them, some are a hair to thin and the fringe isn't as uniform, not that is shows after you roll your flower. The blade on mine was lose from day one and not only moves up and down but back and forth also. I can't find any where that you can tighten it. It says it can be adjusted for a different width paper also but as far as I can see if you loosen any one of the screws, nothing moves to allow for a different width of paper. As far as directions go, I've given you more then what comes with the package. Mine was brand new when I bought it, so it's still sharp but if you buy a used one I've heard that the blade can be worn out and has to be repositioned for it to cut again, good luck with that. This little dilly isn't worth the money and you will be much better off practicing fringing by hand. I understand the 90% fringer runs around $70, I bet it's not worth it either, and when you consider that they only cut two sizes of paper strips you can see why.
