In May 2110 the computer memory board 'died' on my Supra Stove.I had it replaced by the recommended service company for $600. In October 2110 the same part needed replacement. As I could not afford the further cost, and was curious why it needed to be replaced again, I began asking Customer Service (Whirlpool/Kitchenaid) and received no help. I then contacted numerous reliable repairmen in both British Columbia and Alberta and was given 3 reasons: !. numerous power outages could cause this, 2. too much hand pressure on the panel, or 3. which everyone agreed on, which was it is the one part not made by the company, but made out of country very cheaply and of poor quality. I then contacted customer service again, and the same "too bad so sad" response, except, I could buy a new stove at 15% discount. The rest of the stove is perfect, and I cannot afford a new stove. Tonight I watched a Kitchenaid TV Commercial in which I could buy a new stove at 20% discount. For goodwill perhaps it would have been decent of the company to offer me 20% off the price of the poorly made part I need to replace. Any suggestions? I have not had a working oven since October2010 which sure messed up Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years entertaining!
