(More customer reviews)I received the Rowenta Coffee Maker and was very excited as I have admired this design for a few years.
Unfortunately, I should have paid attention to the other product reviews, because this machine, which is beautifully designed, solid to the touch, and simple to use, just seems to have faulty electrical circuitry.
The first time I ran plain water through it, it worked perfectly. I announced to my husband that we were having a fresh cup of coffee from our wonderful new coffee maker, and the water just sat in the coffee maker despite unplugging the machine, turning it on and off, etc. I made coffee using my old coffee maker.
The next day, I thought I would give it one more try... This time, lovely HOT, coffee, easy to pour, easy to use... I was ecstatic!
The next day, tried making coffee again. The coffee maker on light lit up... but no gurgling and no coffee! I unplugged it in a huf, went to do some other chores, came and plugged it in again, and then it worked!
Today, sadly, the coffee maker has again refused to work!
Sorry, I tried, but this machine has too much a mind of its own, and Rowenta should pay more attention to the INSIDE of the machine, NOT just the design.
Very disappointed, you will get better performance from a $19.00 machine from your local drugstore!
