(More customer reviews)Ok, Purchased an earlier version of this model(2009) and this year started having problems with it. First the unit would make a loud whirling noise for a long period of time when the doors were shut. Called Samsung and discussed the problem with them. Samsung gave me the name of two service companies in my area. One had an attitude problem and the other never called me back to set an appointment. If you are looking for good customer service from Samsung, you will be sorely disappointed. Finally called Lowe's, where we purchased the unit, and had their service subcontractor come out and take a look. The top of the evaporator coil was frozen, which stopped the fan from working, which caused the temperaturee inside the refrigerator to rise. Root cause... dain line freeze. Technican told me that Samsung is aware of the problem and has designed two parts to be installed. But get this, not at the factory but by a service technician after a service call has been placed.... Total cost of the repair is 235 dollars. So after 18 months I pay 1/6th of the purchase price.. My recommendation is to find out if the newer models have been redesigned to eliminate the drain line freeze problem.
