been doing this art form for about two and a half years now with my lovely wife Pam in southern Iowa. I've only
seen these products online though. But the quallity is out standing in everyway. We enjoy doing grateful dead
designs and have pictures available online if you might like to see them? The grateful dead "Uncle Sam" is on
two levi jackets back sides and a "Bleeding Skull" is on the back of a levi shirt. This product is highly
recommended by us both. Thank you very much..

(More customer reviews)I hate that the timer button is the on/off button, but I use it as an of/off button and not primarily as a timer, even though I've never had a problem with it getting stuck. Also, it heats up fast, so I set the knob a little past 20 and I can pretty much leave my work in there and go about my business. I'm stuck in Iraq so I love the small size and I like the pieces that I have made thus far, although I did overcook a batch or too. I use it all the time now and I'm very happy with it for price and for availability.

(More customer reviews)I'm really disappointed that this product has Singer's name on it. My 8 yr. old received this as a gift. The knitting machine sort of worked, except it dropped stitches and left gaping holes. The sewing machine is a total joke. It has no bobbin thread, it's just designed to do a chain stitch (which technically doesn't need a bobbin). It never worked from day one. The thread unravels and doesn't stay chained, even when we were very careful to make sure we were following the instructions for threading the machine and backstitching before going forwards. Very disappointing. I'm sorry anyone spent money on it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this because I decorate cakes with fondant and gumpaste. It's very hard to find the right tools in my area so I have to improvise. I use this tool to create different edible objects for cakes.
It's easy to use but a little time consuming. The press is like a screw...instead of just pumping the material out, you have to twist, and twist, and twist. The discs are great; you can create so many things!!
It is hard to clean, but my standards of clean are probably a little higher since it's being used for food.
Overall, I would say it is a good investment for me.

(More customer reviews)Bottom line, DO NOT PURCHASE SINGER MACHINES!!! This was given as a gift and it jams ALL the time!! I've done every adjustment suggested by singer and from experienced users. All have said that the new singers have so many problems, especially with jamming. We have yet to sew anything since we opened up the box, just google singer 2263 problems and you'll see for yourself... At the end of the day they should rename the company to wannabe singer. Truth of the matter is Singer went bankrupt and sold the company. So it's NOT the old school respectable and well built Singer our parents and grandparents grew up with. Below are some of the reviews on Walmarts site...
"this machine sews fine for about 3 inches until ALL OF A SUDDEN the fabric balls up underneath the fabric and the machine completely stops. I've tried pretty much everything and can't figure out how to make it work. i think it's the tension... but i thought this was a machine for BEGINNERS! i think it just wasn't built right because you can tell from looking at it that the parts don't align quite right.
this is NOT a machine for beginners... but from reading other reviews, it seems like even expert seamstresses can't fix the problem!"

It looked good in the store and I have used Singer machines since the 1950s! I sew a lot and was trained by a master seamstress.
This machine tangled the threads and jammed within 2 hours out of the box. I had read the manual cover-to-cover and used the "trouble-shooting" page to try to fix it. then I thought, "WHY?!!" It wouldn't sew straight any more and had threads balled up under the fabric. Yuck! It is going back this afternoon!"

The only negative thing I can say is that it won't do really thick materials because it won't fit under the arm. But since I didn't expect that considering the cost, I won't let it affect the 5-star rating.
