(More customer reviews)I primarily purchased this cleaner to clean shell casings with, and have used it to clean watches, jewelry, eyeglasses and coins. I've been happy with the purchase, since it does what it's advertised to do.
The Graduated Beaker, Glass, Low form, 800ml Beakers that I mentioned are what I recommend to put the items that you're cleaning in a solution, rather than putting the solution into the cleaner tank.
When I said that the directions were funny, if you read one of them, the warning says that you are "not to use while bathing". Darn, I guess I can't set the unit to run its' cycle, and hop in the shower. I guess something got lost in translation.

I was very concerned that the amount of steam would not be sufficient for my needs, and even though it does not give the amount of steam that my old boiler did, it works pretty good. I like the fact that it is 110V instead of 220V. It really is a nifty little gadget, and so far has met my needs. I do worry a bit about whether it will last. I will update this if I have any problems, but for now I give it a four star rating and would recommend it to people who need a small to medium volume of high pressure dry steam.

(More customer reviews)I read the 1st review of this item, and ordered the cleaner anyway, hoping for better results. Indeed my Haier machine works quite well. BUT...don't expect jewelry and coins to come out sparkling clean, like the pictures and the hype. Instead, think of the machine as a shortcut to a lot of scrubbing with a toothbrush. Earrings gunked up with hairspray were somewhat cleaner after a few cycles; but then after just a short scrub with a soft brush, they were as good as new! Same with diamond rings, etc. The cleaner helped greatly, but did not clean everything immaculately all by itself. The cleaner really gets into the nooks and crannies in watchbands, etc., but again, some follow-up is needed with a brush.
In my opinion, it is definately worth it's purchse price.

The silver was extremely tarnished and I feared that it was destined for the scrap pile. I purchased this product and used it with the "Sonic Wave CD-2800 Ultrasonic Jewelry & Eyeglass Cleaner." A few pieces of jewelry were too badly damaged to be saved but about 90% turned out perfectly! I cannot recommend this product enough! The tarnish was removed and a beautiful shine was restored.

Ultrasonic Silver Cleaning KitThis is how you clean silver or silver jewelry with an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. This Kit consists of the special re-useable Silver Cleaning Plate and 4 Activator Packets.Mix 10:1 ratio with HOT tap water or distilled water in the ultrasonic cleaner and turn the machine "on" for 3 minutes WITH the cleaning plate in the tray. This will help to de-gas the solution. Be sure that the solution amount does not exceed the max line in the tank. Then put your silver jewelry on top of the silver cleaning plate. Turn the machine on for at least 3 minutes. The process of turning the machine on with silver jewelry in it can be repeated several times with very dirty or heavily tarnished silver and silver jewelry. If the water / solution becomes dirty, you must rinse the tank and repeat the process, as dirty solution does not clean properly. Please note that the silver cleaning plate is suitable to be used more than once. You simply will need more of the packets, which can be purchased at any time.
