(More customer reviews)I love the idea of this tool. It is easy to use and creates cute paper-covered brads to match your project. BUT - don't touch the brad because it is liable to fall apart in a light breeze. The brad backs (the pointy side) just pop right out of the brad top with the slightest touch. I can't imagine even being able to put a page into a page protector without them popping off. However, there IS a solution. I used 2 layers of "Sticky Strip" adhesive from Stampin' Up (available in retail stores but I can't remember the brand name) on the face of the bottom piece before assembling the brad with the i-top tool. This seems to hold them together just fine. I will keep and enjoy using my i-top tool, but the tool/brads are not the quality I expected and it does require an additional step of adding adhesive.**UPDATE**
I contacted the mfr about this issue and they sent me a new pkg of blank brads because they figured I got a bad batch. I'm happy to say that the new brads work great - no adhesive needed! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I recommend this product and if you have any issues - definitely contact the mfr.

(More customer reviews)My video demonstrates the Crop-A-Dile in action, and also demonstrates the traditional method using a hole punch and eyelet setter with a hammer. I believe both systems have their strong points as well as their weaknesses. On the plus side, the Crop-A-Dile is silent, compact in that it is one tool instead of four, easy to use, and can punch through materials such as leather, light wood and chipboard. On the other hand, it has a small reach of only an inch or two, limiting where you can place your eyelets. Another disadvantage I find is that with the Crop-A-Dile, one must place a mark on the paper to be sure the hole goes in the right spot. With the traditional method, it is much easier to "eyeball" the location.
My assessment is that I like having both systems available because they have their unique uses.

(More customer reviews)They xyron 150 is an incredibly useful little item. Run small items through it and they come out with an even application of clear adhesive on their back. Some people misinterpret the word "sticker" to mean that the machine also laminates the front of the object - it doesn't.
How does it work? The cartridges hold two parts - a sticky side and a clear plastic side. As you pull an item through the machine the two sides are pressed together, sandwiching your embellishment. Tear the tape off once your item is out and then rub over the plastic to transfer the adhesive, then pull the two layers apart and you can peel up your new sticker :)
While it's great for small diecuts and other flat embellishments it really shines with ribbon. Run a length of ribbon through and it can easily be stuck down to any card or scrabook page. The refill cartridges couldn't be easier to change, you can even swap them out halfway through to switch from a permanant to repositionable adhesive without damaging them or making a mess.
