DuraMax 00114, 8' x 6' Stronglasting DuraMate Vinyl Storage Shed With Foundation Kit (00114-DM) Category: Duramax Vinyl Sheds Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I selected this product because our local Historical Preservation Board only allows a vinyl 6' maximum shed without a review of the Hysterical Bored. The foundation was made of somewhat flimsy metal. If I did it again I would have build my own with treated lumber. The shed and foundation size is 1" larger all around than the plywood base that you are instructed to fit onto the foundation. The instructions and fitting of the many pieces were excellent. It took me about 3 hours to assemble the base with plywood and probably around 5 for the shed. It was a one person job. The alignment of the roof pieces was a little tricky but I used a thick screw driver to center the holes. The height of the center interior roof brace is exactly 65 1/2 inches so if you are taller you'll need to duck. All in all I recommend this product.

Perfect for most backyards, the DuraMate shed is maintenance-free. Constructed of durable all-weather vinyl in neutral ivory, it will never need painting or treating. It will not rust, dent, rot, mildew or fade. It is also fire retardant and much quieter in the rain than any metal shed. The wall columns are reinforced with a solid metal structure, giving the shed a lot of strength and making it easy to hang shelves or garden tools. The DuraMate 8' x 6' boasts 208 cubic ft. of room, with double doors wide enough for equipment and high enough for tall people. It's wind tested to 115 mph and it can support up to 900 pounds of snow (or one large gorilla) on the roof. Installs easily in just a few hours. Includes the 8' x 6' DuraMate Foundation Kit. Crafted of galvanized metals, it provides a base for installing your shed, ensuring that the shed is square. The foundation also elevates your floor (plywood floor not included) off the ground.

DuraMax Model 00911 5x3 YardMate Vinyl Storage Shed with floor Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I have a limited space between my garage door and my electrical meter where I wanted a shed and this one is the ideal size. I also have a Rubbermaid shed for off season pool equipment and cushions storage. The Rubermaid shed was much easier to assemble and is much sturdier. I was able to assemble the Rubermaid shed alone and without any hardware. This shed requires two people and requires many screws and brackets. The sides of this shed are quite flimsy and I would worry about its stability if it were not placed against the side of my house. It took about 3 hours for me to assemble with my wife's assistance but that could have been reduced by about an hour if the screw holes for the interior braces lined up easily. That was quite frustrating. I am using it to store my push mower and accessories to free up garage space but wish it would accomodate an uper shelf to utilize all the wasted space. If you aren't strapped for space, as I was, I recommend Rubbermaid over Duaramax. The quality is much superior. I did find a great supplier for the shed in CNS. They were about $50 less than all other sources, shipped free and it arrived in less than a week.
