I printed my wedding invitations with this and it took lots of time to get a decent print, even after I read the stuff from Boxcar press. A 6" brayer is a must. The supplied 3" is garbage. I also didn't use the supplied ink and went with rubber base inks I bought from a print supply store. It's messy, but with some vegetable oil and plain dish soap, it will clean off just about anything. Make sure you have an ink knife. The rubber base ink doesn't dry quickly, so it can sit for hours and wipe off easily. I bought Crane Lettra cotton stock and the ink soaks in quite nicely.
I designed custom KF152 photopolymer plates that Boxcar output for me, and went to work. The most important thing in getting a quality print is the right amount of ink on your brayer. You need the thinnest amount ink possible on your roller, as too much will cause blotchy prints because the ink runs down the side of the plate. The first 2 hours were utterly frustrating, but with patience, it will work.
Don't go into this in a hurry or with high expectations. Good results can be had, but it will take some work and patience. Good luck!
