(More customer reviews)This is the first espresso machine I've ever owned- so I'm not too sure about the norms associated with its functioning. I received it as a Christmas gift from my mom. I have to agree with the last review; when brewing, quite a bit of steam rolls out with the coffee- steam from the machine from where the water seems to be heating. It seems, I guess from what the last review stated- that there's just not a tight enough seal to keep the steam in...this is important for when you are wanting to use the cappuccino function- I think the steam needs to be held in for when you try to steam the milk- but too much of it is released during the brewing process for this to work with mine. It bubbles my milk a little and then it stops- not enough to make it even foamy.
Positive aspects: I think if you're just wanting to use it for the espresso function, you'll be fine.It heats the coffee nicely...and the machine looks nice. Cord is really short...
I just started trying it, so perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly- I will continue to experiment with it. It's still not too bad.....but again, this is my first machine and I didn't put the money into it as it was a gift- I would probably be a little upset had I bought it myself.
