(More customer reviews)My hubby and I bought this sac for our living room to give us extra seats for guests, and so we can lounge on it and play games. The sac is well-made, the color is true to the picture, and the cover is easy to wash. (In fact, our new kitten promptly peed on the new sac, the microfiber just pooled the liquid and it didn't soak in, so we pulled the cover off and threw it in the washer with some special detergent and it looks and smells like new. LOL) The filler seems to be virgin foam (mostly snow white, a few cream colored pieces) and is not noisey, or smelly as other reviewers have stated. In fact, I can't believe the few reviews where people stated that is seemed like smelly, recycled trash and mattress parts. All of the filler in our sac (and the extra refill foam we requested later) is in new condition with no odor. Those are the good things.
Here's the negatives. The sac is ENORMOUS. You can't even imagine how large it is until you see it. We looked at the measurements before ordering it, so we new it would fit in the space we had, but you don't think about the fact that when you sit on it, it flattens and spreads across the floor, taking up a MUCH larger footprint than the measurements would suggest. I am 5'4" and I can lay across the width of it with my entire body on the sac. So you should assume that you need about 9 foot in length and 6 feet in width, and even that would leave only a tiny bit of space around the footprint when you're sitting on it.
The second drawback is that it just isn't very comfortable to sit in, although it is comfortable to lay on. When you sit on it, your rear end sinks all the way to the floor, so we asked the seller for more foam, which he promptly sent, free of charge. It took us about 2 hours to add the extra foam, and we made a huge mess but we laughed the whole time because we probably looked like two monkies trying to shove 20 farts into a thimble. That said, after filling it with extra fluff, we don't hit the floor anymore, but now when one person sits on it, the sides poof up and envelope you like a womb, making it impossible to move or get out of without a helping hand. And there's zero back support like there would be in a regular bean bag, so you constatly feel like you're going to fall backward. So we can't win. It's novel for guests who just want to sit on it for a little while, and it's great for taking naps, but sitting on it every day is just not practical.
Overall, it was a cheap way to add extra seats to the living room and it's fun for kids, but I would have bought 2 MUCH smaller ones made with traditional bean bag filler if I had it to do over.
