The amount of water in the dough needs to be adjusted to the right consistency so it drops easily and not too fast through the holes or the sides. There are no droppers on this spaetzle maker because this one is used to make small round Spaetzle or "Knoepfle" (buttons) as mom calls them. The stainless steel is a nice feature.
