I owned this waffle iron in the cheaper, plastic version. (At least some of the parts were plastic.) This one seems to be more sturdy, although it costs four times as much as the partly plastic one.
I make waffles at least once each week. The waffles cooked on this new iron came out tender and tasty.
I hope that this waffle iron lasts more than the two years I had the other one! It is advertised as one for a restaurant. Sometimes I feel like my own kitchen is a restaurant with so many eaters, so I visualize many years with this new iron.
