(More customer reviews)We have enjoyed ours, and I would buy it if my brother-in-law and sister-in-law had not been kind enough to give it to me as a gift. We either just rinse it out or we can quickly take the rubber pieces off and put the stainless box in the dishwasher.
I've had only two, very minor, concerns:
1. The base really smelled of rubber for the first couple of months.
2. The grommets that hold the knocking bar can slide around when you empty the box. Make sure they are aligned around the box, or the sound of your knock will be a "clunk" instead of muffled by the rubber.
