(More customer reviews)I wanted to be very specific in my review of this product because it is a fantastic product and the company truly backs up their claims. We like the product enough that we purchased an extra through Amazon.
What I love about the product:
It does not feel like you are laying atop a plastic sheet (because you are not); although, I would recommend a plastic mattress protector underneath if you have bed-wetters!!
If you dumped a glass of water on top of the cover, I am certain your mattress would not get wet, even without a plastic cover underneath.
The manufacturer stands behind the product fully (full warranty applies only if protector and mattress are purchased together at the same time)
What I didn't like:
We bought a brand-new mattress for a child who has enuresis because the child's old mattress was unsalvageable...after a few nights of using the new mattress protector, and having washed it at least once, the child soaked the bed one night and the urine soaked through the pad and onto the mattress. While the mattress was salvageable...the protector did a good job...enough urine soaked through to stain the mattress.
What I learned:
If you have a child who is out of diapers and pull-ups yet who still wets at least once per week, this product alone will not work...you'll need to put a second barrier (plastic sheet) underneath.
If you purchase under full warranty, the company will take care of you. We were sent a fantastic cleaning product that completely eliminated the stain and any residual odor...mattress is like new.
