(More customer reviews)I have had my Vitamix 5200 for about 2 months now. I literally use it several times a day and I could not imagine life without it now. My family has recently begun a journey to eating "raw" foods and the vitamix is a priceless tool in this endeavor. My family starts everyday with a fruit smoothie for breakfast (blended strawberries, blueberries, pinapple and spinach with pure water and ice). The vitamix breaks down everything, mixes it well and blends the most delicious tasting breakfast you ever wanted. Talk about instant energy! Lunch is often a green smoothie, blended in the Vitamix. I have used the dry container to crack wheat berries for bread (not 100% raw yet) and also made homemade nut butters using almonds, walnuts, and pecans. I also make a homemade applesauce using three cored apple (different types produce different tastes so experiment to find your favorite, strawberries, blueberries or even pears). The apples do not even need to be peeled or cored. I do core mine because I don't like seeds, but I leave all the greens from the strawberries on and simply blend then into the sauce.

The vitamix is definitely expensive, and I know that times are tough now, but I think that you can't put a price on your family's health. Since my family has started eating this way, we have lost weight, my daughter's skin is clearing up and we have so much more energy to accomplish great things during our day. You cannot put a price on that! I highly recommend this machine to anyone that wants the best for their family.
Oh and yes prior to buying the Vitamix, I burned up two blenders. Vitamix has a seven year warranty on their product, they are serious about their products. I love mine and you will too!

Blendtec 52-601-FLP Kitchen Mill, White Review

(More customer reviews)I have been using this mill for 5 years and expect to be using it in 20 more years. I bake 1 loaf of bread twice a week with flour I grind at the same time. The bread is simply the best we have ever found and fresh. The machine is very, very loud but it gets through enough flour for a loaf of bread in 2 minutes, no big deal. Others are more quiet but this excels in quality and ease of use.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Mix and Blend machine by K-tec over two years ago. I have had at least five if not six replacement machines. I grind my own wheat and bought the machine originally to mix my wheat dough, but the machines keep breaking. K-tec has been very good about replacing the motor bases, but in the end I had to purchase a more expensive dough maker from another company to solve my problem. Basically, I wasted over $300. Don't buy this machine if you think that you want to mix up wheat dough. It just does not hold up. The vital parts are plastic.

(More customer reviews)This machine is generally very good. The grinding mechanism itself is excellent. The problem is that the plastic container for the flour lets ground flour escape, i.e. the clipping mechanism and the sealing material are flimsy, and even when you press down firmly while grinding, ground "powder" shoots out the side, which makes a mess. Also, for some odd reason, the cord comes out of the top instead of the side, which gets in the way. Nevertheless, we still use this regularly, and there is no replacement for bread made from freshly ground grain.

We love this grain mill! It is a super durable and inexpensive option compared to other electric grain mills. Discover the great taste of freshly milled grains. We sell this mill, but we also use it! We use it to make delicious fresh baked multi-grain bread and ezekiel bread. The taste of freshly milled whole grain bread can't be replicated with any store-bought or processed flour.
Mills all grainswhole wheat, rye, oats, rice, buckwheat, millet, corn, soybeans, barley, triticale, spelt, lentils, beans, chickpeas & more. You will be delighted with the results. The Kitchen Mill was not designed to grind spices, sugar, high oil content seeds (sunflower, sesame, flax, etc..) nuts, coffee, dried fruits and the like. Makes flour from fine to coarse. The coarsest setting makes flour about as coarse as cornmeal. It does not do cracked grains.

(More customer reviews)This is an awesome blender. It blends stuff like you've never seen before and I am really pleased with it. But holy cow is it LOUD!! The cat hates me. I got a pair of earmuffs from the shooting supply place to wear while using it. Maybe overkill, but I think that using it twice a day without them would result in hearing damage eventually. I wish they sold an enclosure for this one like they do for the commercial ones....I'd definitely buy one.
I bought this because I had a juicer and liked it. But I felt that tossing all that pulp and fiber had to be making me miss out on a lot of health benefits. And just trying to spoon some of it back into the juice doesn't work, it's gross. This blender blends whole fruits and vegetables wonderfully, I can still get the fiber and in a drinkable form.
After I bought this, I read a webpage where they talked about blending an avocado WITH the pit, and I tried it. It works, I ended up with an amazingly smooth mousse-like creamy pudding. Not something I'd do every day, but it was very interesting. I have been making kale banana blueberry smoothies for breakfast and it blends everything into one homogenous shake. No bits of leaves, chunks of stuff, etc. I'm enjoying it. I just wish it wasn't so loud.
