The trigger assembly gets stuck in the handle assembly, and makes the fogger virtually unusable, except for the occasional stick free squeeze (about 1 out of 20). Getting the trigger to pop back out of the handle is nearly impossible, and actually mine is completely stuck now and will not come out. It is quite annoying, and like I said makes it virtually unusable. I had already thrown away the box/receipt so basically just burned $60, plus I don't really feel like hastling with trying to get my money back. Trust me, it's junk, do not buy it.

Fresh Fog 80042 Electric Outdoor Cooling Misting System Kit with Heavy Duty Carrying Case Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this system through Amazon in late September/early October this year and installed it with a humidistat to humidify and cool my 12 by 8 foot green house. It's still hot here in south Georgia in September so the system ran frequently during the heat of the day. By early afternoon each day, the motor would sieze up on the Fresh Fog. After several attempts to get help from the Fresh Fog customer service folks, their solution was to send me a new GFCI electrical plug that I could install myself. I've tried running it on a timer instead of a humidistat. That works out better but the motor still siezes if I run the Fresh Fog for more than a couple of minutes at a time more than four times during the day - and then not reliably.
Then the filter started leaking. I had water everywhere. I had to buy a replacement filter and now some of the nozzels are dripping which means that I have to turn the water off every night. I bought this system because I thought it would be easy for someone with my limited mechanical skills to set up and that it would not require a lot of my attention to use. I have spent numerous hours trying to stabilize the system and it isn't. If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought the parts for a real misting system and hired someone to help me install it.
I'll keep the Fresh Fog for the grandkids to play with when they come for their Summer visits and get a reliable misting system installed before next year's hot weather sets in.

Ocean Mist Mist Maker Review

(More customer reviews)It makes a small quantity of fog, while shooting up a little bit of water. I'm currently using it for a small "moss garden". It is pretty quiet and unobtrusive, and has a small little red LED light.
It seems like a decent product. Though I'm not sure how long it will hold up; I've read some stuff about fog-makers (amazon, mostly, if I recall) that some of them can break down pretty quickly. I'll have to see how long mine holds up, and then come back here and possibly alter the review.

I don't regret buying the item as it was needed as I am gone during the day, I just wish it did a more through job of misting.

(More customer reviews)this is all about automation. If you have a busy schedule and can't be around the terrarium all the time, buy this.
This goes well with my 25 gallon terrarium and a fogger.
it may seem complicated to program this but its actually really easy if you read the instructions i mean come on there are only 2 BUTTONS on this thing!
the lcd display is always lit which is cool too.
the probe that you put in the tank to measure humidity and temperature seems pretty accurate, i have 2 other independent thermometer and humidity measuring devices to make sure this unit is working properly.
one special note on how it operates:
i set the humidity level to stay at (90%+) when humidity starts to drop below (90 percent) it takes this unit about 2 FULL MINUTES before it turns on your fogger device (THIS IS NOT A MALFUNCTION to the best of my knowledge) but when the fogger is running, as soon as the probe in the terrarium senses that the humidity is met, it immediately shuts off the fogger
bottom line this unit is a bargain for the functions it performs.
a comparable controller that does humidity and temperature available from hydroponics suppliers would be more accurate over this unit however the price of those is generally over 200-300 dollars so this being under 100 dollars is great for automation on a budget!

(More customer reviews)I originally purchased a Black Flag fogger at a local chain hardware store because it was the only one available and was touted as the equivalent of the Burgess. Don't believe it!!! The first Black Flag had to be returned to the factory after 2 uses with a significant hassle and lengthy wait for its replacement which appeared to be "refurbished". Then the replacement gave out after about 6 uses, so I said to heck with it and ordered the Burgess from Amazon at about the same cost as the Black Flag. Every single thing about it is superior to the Black Flag - it is easy to fill, easy to use, works precisely the way it is supposed to - what more could you ask? Oh, did I mention, it kills and repels insects for siginificant periods of time and I live in a rural sub-tropical area? Ironically, it uses and came with Black Flag fogging fluid which is good.

Be sure to mount hose so that it puts fog into the cage from above, not from a side wall as water will collect in the tube and drip. I you mount it with the hose pointing down into the cage any drips will fall back into the machine instead of the cage. Use distilled water to keep it running in god condition and avoid mineral build up which will cause it to stop working. Good product.

(More customer reviews)This thing has become a bit of a blessing for me. I live in the middle of nowhere and well with this last season of rain we have seen mosquitoes by the millions it seems (ok that's probably a little exaggerated, but not to far off.) I picked this same fogger up from my local HomeDepot for a little less than on here.
PROS
I like the spark starter, nice little add to the unit (my uncle has an older one without it).
Only about 1 minute - 1 1/2 to get hot enough.
The tank is good but could be a little bigger (nit picking, lol).
Black Flag seems to make good products from what I hear from friends and family that use them, and have come to find out for myself as well.
CONS:
the heating coil could use a slightly hotter/bigger burner and the could could use 1-2 more wraps I think. That seems to be the problem with this unit at this time. Granted you can still squeeze the trigger fairly fast but I would like for it to be a little hotter and able to maintain a more constant heat with a larger burner.
Everything else but that simple issue is great. I wouldn't mind remodeling this unit to meet my thoughts but for now this unit does a great job.
I had to use mine in a very mild wind the other day it was still effective enough to get the job done decently. Anything more than the slightest of breezes is no good for this kind of method for killing the mosquitoes though.
It actually does a great job at keeping these stinking biting bugs down in numbers around the house. I normally fog the lots around the house as well as they are were these things breed in masses. I've had mine for a couple months now and it's helped a lot. The only thing is the time it takes to walk around and fog the land. When there is no wind at all it's a little harder, I do kind of like to have a very very gentle breeze because then I can stand at one side of the area and just let it slowly drift over it.
LOVE BUGS: Yes the solution that black flag makes for these units also kills these pests, If you don't get blessed by these annoying pests 2 times a year like we do down here in Florida, consider yourself extremely lucky! Their guts as they get plastered all over your car will literally eat your paint if left to sit on too long!.

Fake Snow Making Machine Yard Decoration Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this machine because the company has a video showing it being used outdoors. They also say in other advertisements that it can be used for the outdoors. When I got it home the machine says on it For Indoor Use Only. The manual says for indoor use only. When I called Brandsonsale they said sure you can use it outdoors. They said the manufacturing company put that on to get it thru customs. I bought this unit to set up outside for Christmas. The ads imply that you can do that. Just be carefull. None of these inexpensive models can be placed outside. As far as function I cant say because I never used it. The company refused to refund me as well saying it can be used outside. To top that off when we picked it up from the company they accidentaly tried to give my wife a box containing 4 of the units. If my wife had not noticed she would have walked out with 4 not 1 snow machine.You think they would have appreciated the honesty but no. We save them hundreds of dollars. Yet when we simply asked to return the unit they refused. Nice people. Not a safe company to do buisness with, BEWARE. I reviewed other complaints online and at the better buisness bureau and your taking your chances when dealing with these guys.
