(More customer reviews)The spin speed is much less than that achieved with our previous hand crank salad spinner. It does not spin fast enough to remove excess water from lettuce. After a short time, the SaladXPress became appreciably slower. Under the terms of the warranty, it was replaced with what appears to be a new unit. The new one isn't any better than the first. We've given up on the SaladXPress and purchased an OXO SoftWorks hand powered salad spinner.

Think of it as a hybrid food processor/salad spinner. The 400 watt motor can grate or slice fruits and vegetables as well as spin them dry after rinsing. It can also grate and spin cheese, meats and more. With storage space always at a premium, it's the multi-function appliances that win the day.

(More customer reviews)I am a huge fan of the herb n serve, it blends and chops wonderfully and is very quiet and very fast, and easy to clean. simple to make delicious fresh vinaigrette with your aerogarden or other herbs. it has a small footprint so you can set the whole thing in the frideg to store leftover vinagrette and just give it a quick pulse to re-mix when you are ready to use.
