This is a simple and ingenious gadget to help you prepare your eggs perfectly in the microwave as soft boiled, semi-soft boiled, scrambled, Meurette, Coquotte, Benedict, or hard boiled. Simply crack open the egg in the Micro Egg; discard the egg shell; poke a hole in the egg yolk; snap on the lid; then put the Micro Egg in the microwave at top heat. Progressive International Microwavable Omelet Maker Review

(More customer reviews)So let's be honest, this is a dumpy little microwave omelet maker.
That said, I love it. Mine broke pretty early on and now is just two seperate pieces, but still works great. I use Egg Beaters and pour some in with some veggies, toss it in the microwave for a few minutes, go get dressed, and when I come back i've got breakfast. And i've even tried making the traditional omelet with cheese in between the two parts and it's not a problem at all. Best part is, if you want you can eat it right out of the pan.
Cleanup seriously takes about 15 seconds: water, soap, scrub, done.
This product is why I can actually eat eggs the way I want every morning.

Nordic Ware 64802 Microwave Egg Cooker Review

(More customer reviews)It works great, and it's small (6" high, 5" diameter) and easy to use. May require some experimentation to get times correct for your own microwave. For me: 7 minutes for soft, 8 min for medium, and 9-10 min for hard eggs on high power (700W microwave).
It does get very hot, so you need to remove it from the microwave with a potholder or towel. I place the whole thing under the cold tap, then remove the top, and cool the eggs under running water for a minute before peeling.
