They worked great and cut through the knit fabric with no problem at all and they weren't too heavy in my hand, which was a big plus. They were very comfortable to use once I got the hang of the odd shape. I would recommend these scissors if you do reverse appliques, for sure.

Fiskars 01-005692 Cuts+More 5-in-1 Multi-Purpose Scissors Review

They manage to add a massive amount of functionality with out hindering the scissors, or would have if they had thought it through just a bit further. The problem is the "power notch" this is intended to give you more leverage on a straighter sheer so you can cut rope etc. Unfortunately the profile is all wrong. It does not add as much torque as it should, and more importantly makes the blades double contact at the end of the stroke. Rather than have one sheer point travel smoothly down the blades, when you get to the end of the notch the tip on the black side of the blade slams into the edge of the silver side. This add a noticeable bump in resistance, throws off cuts, and wears down the blade ridiculously fast. I hope that they fix this soon (or that I got one from a bad batch). It is a genuinely stupid mistake which should be simple to fix, and it greatly reduces the value of an otherwise excellent tool.
As for the rest of the tool: The blades are decent steel and fairly sharp (the titanium coating is marketing BS but it does not hurt anything). The pivot is secure, detaches easily and tightens easily. The sharpener in the sheath is brilliant. And the wire cutter will inevitably save the blades at some point (I am an engineer, every pair of scissors I own has been damaged by cutting wires). The handels may be a bit small, but I have big hands. The only other complaint I have is how easily the screw that holds the pivot strips, but that can be replaced.
In terms of concept potential: 5 stars, I would knock one for a few finish issues (The screw and titanium BS) but the geometry on the blade is unforgivable. I will be sending these back, and intend to try again in a few weeks (incase it is a bad batch) and if not again in 6 months, at which point I hope they will have fixed it. I will update if and when it gets better.

Fiskars 12-9589789V, Photo Bypass Trimmer, 6-Inch Review

(More customer reviews)So I'm pretty sure there's other uses for this product, but I picked it up for couponing. Since the paper for coupons are so thin, it can sometimes be a challenge if your cutting individual coupons vs two or three at a time.
So far the paper trimmer hasn't been 100% accurate, but maybe I'm looking at it from the wrong angle, or because the paper is so thin its moving a bit from this way to that instead of staying straight. Even so I'm loving it!
The Fiskar 6in paper trimmer is small enough I can stash it away on my desk within range where I can snag it back up as soon as I start the clipping again. I'm not very fond of the bright orange guillotine part, but the good thing is you'll never miss spotting it because it blends in with your stuff. You wont be able to use it on a full page of coupon sheets but I don't use it for that reason. I'm cutting the coupons I need out with regular scissors then using the trimmer to... TRIM!

(More customer reviews)I have never used a sewing machine before, but i liked the idea that I can do alterations on my jeans and pants, do some patchwork on my old clothes, and do various jobs here and there.
So I bought this. I was debating between this package and the machine only unit, and decided to go for the package because it has the same sewing machine, plus sewing kit that is supposed to have everything that fits to this small machine, and a pair of electrical scissors!
I did calculations and the package would work much better if the scissors are worth buying. I gave it a try.
1. Sewing machine.
As a person who has never used a sewing machine, the machine looked little bit complicated (mind you that I am a software Engineer, and not afraid of using a machine for the first time) with lots of holes for threads. But the guide coming with the machine explains pretty much everything to get started with. I could get around with the guide. The problem was, though, the guide is in crude black and white print and it is hard to recognize the tiny holes in the pictures. And there's one picture while there are more than three ways to get the thread hooked up.
If each way has an accompanying picture in colors, it would have been very helpful.
It also comes with a small packet that contains a few thread rolls and needles.
2. Sewing kit
I haven't opened it yet, but the kit seems to contain the essential elements.
3. Electrical Scissors
So, here's my problem. I expected a lot about these scissors, because I thought the electrical scissors are a bit luxurious item. But they didn't work when I put two AA batteries into the slot. I tried a few different brands of batteries but they didn't work. It made the motor sound in the very beginning at first but that was it. There is no guideline so I don't even know how it is supposed to work. I am thinking about getting them replaced by calling the sewing machine company.
I will update this review once I figure these scissors out.
But I love this little sewing machine; and thinking I would have fun and save money as well!
