A overstock of Amazon gift certificates and a need for a dining room rug made me make the decision to buy this rug on Amazon instead of looking for one in person. Considering that the cost of the rug is pretty similar to what you'd end up paying in most Home Depot type establishments, I think you might get a better deal there.
The rug is what you'd expect - a nice tight weave and plush; essentially a 7'x9' section of carpet. Unfortunately the rug itself isn't very thick or deep and after a month of being in place on my tile floor, the rug is starting to mold and indent itself to the shape of the tile grout lines. I suppose a rug pad would be the solution, but for the $300+ cost, I was hoping for a slightly thicker rug or stiffer foundation weave.
Otherwise, the rug is not bad. The colors are sharp, there is no bleeding and so far no shedding of yarn clusters, and while it did have a slight chemical dye smell out of the box, that dissipated quickly after a few vacuums.
