(More customer reviews)I have both of these items, and I have tried using them together but it's just not practical on a day-to-day basis.
The Hario Slim grinder may be theoretically able to do an espresso grind, but it takes a really, really, really long time to get enough just for one double shot. I don't remember exactly how long, but I think that after like 15 minutes of cranking is when I called it quits. It's possible I had the grinder set too fine though too I guess. One weakness of the Hario grinder is you have to guesstimate the grind settings.
Now, I guess you could use a courser grind and just use the "course" basket on the MyPressi (that's what I ended up doing), but your MyPressi isn't going to reach it's fullest potential like that, in my opinion. For my money, I'm just going to use my electric burr grinder with my MyPressi.
I wish the seller would offer their previous package of the Hario Slim and the Aeropress together. I could recommend that whole-heartedly and without reservation. That's a much more attractive purchase. In fact, after making coffee with this combo for a friend of mine, he was so impressed with the final result that he was asking me what he should get for the same set-up, and I recommended him the combo but it's now sold out.
