(More customer reviews)I absolultely love this yarn! I have been using it since it's first appearance on the shelves. It's super soft, which makes it perfect for baby items as well as adults. The colors are unique! I've used about 7 of them, and they are all just as beautiful as the previous one.
I have made baby sweaters, toddlers sweaters, a couple of sweaters for myself, baby afghans, baby toys and a wrap. Every item has worked up beautifully.
The weight is ideal for just about any project that doesn't require bulky weight. The sheen of the yarn is also wonderful! It's not too shiny, nor is it the dull acrylics your grandmothers used. It has a great hand to it, and thus a great reflection!
The only negative would be that it is somewhat fragile in the sense that it does split easily. The yarn is not twisted tightly, so you need to be cautious when using. It's easy to knit into a couple strands of fiber, rather than the entire stitch. After using for a bit, you'll get used to the texture.

(More customer reviews)I use sugar 'n cream yarn a lot to make hats and handbags I sell at arts and crafts fairs, and I like the looks of the Potpourri yarn because of the red and purple flecks in it. However, those reds and purples run when wet, as I found out when I tried to block a sun hat I had made with it. Yet the product label describes it as washable. I still use this yarn, but only for items that don't need to be blocked.

If you are also looking to use this as a bath rug and your bathroom has tile flooring, you may want to bear in mind that this product has not been designed primarily for this use and therefore it does not have any non-slip material on the underside (as the list of product features notes, the rug is _reversible_). To prevent the rug from sliding and sending us flying, we simply put a piece of Henkel Duck Non-Adhesive Super Grip Easy Shelf Liner under the entire length of the carpet. This does the trick better even than the non-slip backing on our previous bathroom rug!

(More customer reviews)This yarn is wonderful! It is a dream to work with. I've made everything from scarves to baby sweaters to afghans with this yarn. The heathers and mists are the most beautiful. The babay sweaters have been washed over and over and still look like new. I get raves when I give items crafted of this yars as gifts. I wish my local stores woudl carry larger amounts of matching dye lots. I'm finding it difficult to find online dealers who will guarantee dyelots. I'd love to make a sweater for myself out of this yarn if I can find 15 skeins of matching dyelot.

I prefer a cotton cable knit blanket and had a hard time finding one when the blanket I had bought was no longer available. I found this blanket online and it is exactly what I was looking for. I bought duplicate blankets for our latest grandchild. He has one at his house and one at ours. The blanket is the perfect size and very good quality. I thought it was very reasonably priced.
