(More customer reviews)This product is excellent at keeping out the cold and light. We had two of the longer ones (purchased from another store) in our bedroom, and saw the temperature go up overnight and the amount of light in the am go down.
That said, don't order this version expecting to actually get the "Alfred" curtains. I needed 3 matching curtains of this (shorter) version, and instead received 3 Eclipse curtains with another name. In fact, I received two different substitutions for my three curtains. I'd tell you what the names were, but all three were blacked out in hopes that consumers wouldn't notice.
So if you're looking for a quality curtain, Eclipse Thermaweave is the way to go. Just don't buy these; there's a good chance you'll receive substitutions--matching or not--and who knows whether those substitutions are worth the price listed here for the Alfred's.

(More customer reviews)I have been suffering some pretty severe insomnia over the past few weeks and decided that I really needed to get some blackout curtians, especially now that spring is on it's way.
So I ran out to a local store and purchased these curtians. They are very effective at blocking light, they claim that they cut out 99% of light, I'm sure in mathmatical test results that would hold true. From my perspective I'd say that they cut down 95% of the incoming light.
If your looking for something that will block out light 100% pair these with a black out liner, ones from Roc-Lon seem to be pretty good.
Over all I'm pretty satisfied with the results I got. I have a color similar to the "Olive", which I didn't expect to block light nearly as well as a darker colored fabric.
