By the time their articles went to print, two models 4870HG and 4870HZ, were released and neither has had a price increase. I bought the recent HZ from Amazon.com and it was delivered UPS in two days in a tall box which told me it was already assembled. Assembly for attachements and a reading the instructions was a 3 minute process. It is much quieter than my prior 1999 Hoover Bag Model and Bissell 2003 Bagless, both of which still ran but did not pick up much. It picks up so much and so fast, you won't have to waste $150 to have your carpets cleaned (assuming no embedded stains like grape juice). You will love it. There is not enough space on here to say all the great things about it. The price ended up including a second replacement bag and a replacement drive belt. Too many great features to mention here.

(More customer reviews)I just threw a party last weekend at my new apartment - I got this blender cuz it was big and looked nice (and I thought it might inspire some creative margaritas!)
The blender worked great and since our friends kept talking about how good it looked, I figured I'd give it a good review. The blender jar is huge (I think it's 1.5 liters) - it's perfect for parties. It also has some rubber feet to keep it from shaking and bouncing around. We made a ton of frozen drinks and it handled ice cubes without any problems. I'm using it for my daily smoothies too.

Maytex Collin Stretch 4-Piece Slipcover Recliner Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased the mocha version of this slipcover, for a recliner that has worn spots on the corners. Although the product didn't match the description (only 2 pieces, not 4 pieces as described) I was very pleased with the slipcover. It was very easy to install on the recliner, and the instructions were easy to understand, with good illustrations. The slipcover included removable tags that labeled the parts of the slipcover (front, back, left arm, etc). The slipcover also has grippy fabric flaps that tuck down under the arms and seat of the recliner, and hold it in place very well. The fabric is stretchy, so it has a custom fit without looking like a slipcover. I love sitting in my recliner now. The fabric is so soft and comfy, but also feels durable. And I love that it is washable! I wish I had purchased this sooner. Definitely a good buy!!

Miallegro 1090 Coffee Maker 12-cup Automatic Drip Review

(More customer reviews)This is the third Miallegro product I've bought, and like it as much as the other two. I got their MiTutto hand blender (real powerful!) and a fan before. Since they looked stylish and have held up well, I decided to go for this coffee maker. I had a Senseo before, but thought the pads were a bit pricey - so I wanted something easy and simple but still looked good.
The coffee maker doesn't really come with any bells n' whistles - instead, it's just easy to use, pretty reliable and shuts off automatically after an hour or so. I do like the permanent filter that's included - no need to buy the paper ones any more. I just take it out and rinse the grinds out in the sink.
One drawback is that it doesn't seem to really make 12 big cups. I started poking around, and it seems they're basing it on European-sized coffee cups, which are smaller than the big American ones. So, expect to make about 9 or 10 Yankee-size cups o' Joe.
So, i'm still very satisfied with my Miallegro purchases and will probably buy from them again.

If I had written my review based on our first attempt with this ice cream maker, I'd have given it one star. In fact, we were trying to find the receipt when it occurred to me: maybe I should have paid more attention to the instructions.
Sho' 'nuff, it worked.
First attempt, our freezer wasn't cold enough to thoroughly freeze the freezer bowl, and, I didn't thoroughly chill the ice cream mix. Result: milkshakes.
Then, I tried reducing the temperature in the freezer, and chilling the mix properly. Result: very good soft-serve ice cream!
Another tip: while packets of mix that you just add milk to are fine for quick ice cream, invest in a good homemade ice cream recipe book! There is a world of difference between packaged mixes and making your own with real cream and natural flavorings! And, with the latter, you can pack it into a freezer container and save it for later.
The biggest plus for this machine is the freezer bowl eliminates the need for often hard-to-find rock salt and lots of ice!
Just be sure to properly freeze the freezer bowl and chill the ingredients. Unless, of course, you're in the mood for a milkshake.

(More customer reviews)I've owned this product now for 6 months and have found that it works as advertised. Complaints that the display is too bright at night ignore the fact that users hypersensitive to light can turn the backlight off and go with only the projected light at night. (The projected light is not bright enough to keep any normal person awake; in fact even when one is dark-adapted the projected display is quite faint.) Many reported problems with the time are due to inadvertently pressing the button that determines the time zone. I did this on one occasion myself and realized my error when the time jumped forward two hours. Complaints that the radio is "low fi" are the result of unreasonable expectations. This unit is not intended as a replacement for a dedicated audio system. I have found the temperature readings on the indoor and outdoor displays to be accurate within a degree Fahrenheit or less, compared with readings on an independent thermometer. In summary, I have found the HoMedics Premier Sound Spa to be an excellent consumer-level device which works as advertised and which is great value for the money. I would not want to be without it.
