(More customer reviews)This is the third snow blower I have owned, and does a great job in major drifts. But I have now ripped the starter cord three times, and disassembly and reassembly takes me almost an hour to repair it. In spite of several inspections, I can see nothing slicing the cord, but something us doing it. I suspect a metal burr somewhere.
All of that said, it starts dependably (when I haven't broken it), and makes short work of my driveway, even in densely packed snow. After a half season that has been especially rough, it all still seems sturdy and hasn't rattled itself apart, the way cheaper units have done in the past.

(More customer reviews)I bought this snow thrower about a month ago. The first day I got it, I opened the box and put it together in a snap. Actually, there wasnt much to it, just pull the handle up and lock it into place, put oil and gas in it and start it up. I think I had about 4" of snow on the ground that day. I started it up and went at it. Immediately I was surprised at how much snow it left behind! It was actually going right OVER about an inch of snow, almost like the blade was not touching the ground, but in fact it was. Not only that but when doing a row of snow when you turn around and stat to head back down the row again, it "spits" snow on the freshly cleaned area blowing it back on the area you just did. It does not handle wet snow at all! Trust me, not even slightly wet snow. And it is not light either, when pushing this thing through some heavy snow, it gets to be a real task after a while. This is a snow thrower for someone looking to use it on 3" or less of non wet snow. On the plus side, it runs good and starts right up on the second pull. Just like a new snow thrower should.... I guess....
I would spend a little more money and get a more heavy duty unit. You will thank me later !!

I've been using the one I bought new for about 3 years now at my home and honestly it's been worked hard and a little abused... but it works as well as brand new. I use it to clear raw land by helping dig out roots, to help grade soil, to make new garden space, etc. My neighbor has seen the results & asked me where I got it. The only negative I can see is the lack of available attachments- I'd like to see an aerator, edger & dethatching attachment for it.

(More customer reviews)I bought this mower about 5 years ago. A single woman, I never paid attention to oil changes or maintenance schedules. Just a week ago, I though I needed a new machine when the cord got stuck and would not recoil. It motivated me to learn to do my own maintenance on the mower.
A clean, new air filter, a freshly sharpened blade and a new spark plug later with a healthy oil change proved to me how resilient this little machine is, and how sturdy it is. With its new parts and a good clean up, the little thing started working like new.
If it can endure my abuse, believe me, it is a good product! I mow an area of about 1/8 acre. Very, very happy with my machine that is still faithful to my yard.
