(More customer reviews)I purchased the Fiskars Donna Dewberry Fabric Strip Cutter so I could cut my strips faster and safer. After practicing I was finally able to have success cutting strips of fabric. The cutter takes more pressure than one would think and I have to bear down in order for the cutter to actually go down far enough to cut the fabric.
On the plus side, it's very safe to use. It seems to clamp down on the fabric to hold it in place without slipping. Cutting blade is easily changed when needed. Lightweight but has non skid feet keeping it in place on the table.
I would have designed this differently. I would have made it heavier with a larger "bed" so there was more room on both sides of the cutter so the fabric would lay flatter on both sides. I would have somehow made the "bed" from the self healing material that cutting mats are made from and I would have made the cutting blade a little easier to press down on. It would be nice if it was longer than 12", such as 14" or 16".
All in all I will probably use this a lot but it simply cannot replace a rotary cutter and mat for longer strips and binding.Fiskars 01-000472 Donna Dewberry 45MM Rotary Strip Cutter

I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. I'm impressed with quick and easily it cuts fabrics, as well as with the accuracy of the cuts. This die cuts fabric triangles that, when sewn together create squares that are 3.5" inches on each side; if you quilt with 1/4" inch seams, then that means the finished square is 3" inches on each side. Almost all of my quilting is done with combinations of 3.5" squares, so this die has been a great investment for me.
The die cuts four traingles (i.e., two completed squares) per cut - if you layer the fabric with eight layers (the maximum thickness the AccuQuilt claims to be able to accommodate), that gives you 16 squares per cut. It takes about five minutes to layer the fabric and run it through the machine, so you can cut about 100 squares in half an hour time.
The only complaint I have with this die is that it is a bit wasteful of fabric - I do wish they had made it with less "empty" space on the sides, to allow for tighter cutting, but I suppose if you got creative with your fabric folding it wouldn't be as much of an issue. For myself, I never seem to have enough scraps for scrap quilts, so I'm just being "wasteful" and saving the scraps in my barren scrap basket.
Do note that you will need the GO! 5x10 Cutting Mat to use with this die, as well as the actual AccuQuilt Go fabric cutting machine. I've attached the video I created for my AccuQuilt review to show this die in action.

(More customer reviews)This was the first die I bought for my new GO! cutter. It cuts 5 sizes of flowers, 3 sizes of circles, and 2 sizes of leaves all at the same time. It will cut up to 4 layers of fabric with fusible web applied to the back. The shapes can be ironed onto the background for super easy machine or hand applique. This die is also great for wool applique. The shapes go with the Sharon Pederson 'Rose of Sharon' book but could be used for many designs.
Please note-the shapes do not have seam allowance added for traditional applique.

I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. I'm impressed with quick and easily it cuts fabrics, as well as with the accuracy of the cuts. This die cuts fabric squares that are 6.5" inches on each side; if you quilt with 1/4" inch seams, then that means the finished square is 6" inches on each side. I bought this die for use with my new AccuQuilt GO! Fabric Cutter. This 5x10 mat works with several of the dies, including the AccuQuilt Go! 6.5" Square die. I'm pleased with the thickness and strength of the mat, and it doesn't shift when running through the machine. I do think it will need to be replaced eventually, but that's true for every cutting mat in the world, and this one is a fair sight cheaper than most.
It's a bit tricky to tell from the descriptions on Amazon which die needs which mat, so if you're confused, I recommend checking the AccuQuilt site for more details. I've attached the video I created for my AccuQuilt review to show this mat in action.
