Spellbinders Impressabilities Dies, Butterfly Review

(More customer reviews)I saw the Impressabilities and thought that they were plastic embossing folders like the Cuttlebug folders. They are not. However, I still like them because of their versatility.
You can use them as stencils and for dry embossing. But what I learned from a video on Facebook is that you can also ink them up (chalk ink works well) and when you emboss it, it has the effect of letterpress. Lovely. Keep in mind that for the letterpress process, it's a two in one: first you ink the Impressabilities die (i.e using it as a stencil) then you run it through your machine for the letterpress effect.
Also, I was able to use my Impressabilities dies in my Cuttlebug. I used the A plate along w/the two B plates. I also had to use something like the plumbers gasket and some shims.
Oh, and one final note: the Impressabilties are fragile so use them with care and caution. They are definitely worth purchasing though.

The metal part of the tool itself is well designed and cuts crisply, shame that they tried to save a couple pennies by using cheap plastic instead of metal or better plastic for the movable parts.

The translucent Scor-Mat fits exactly in the recessed area of your Scor-Pal. It is almost 12" x 12". On one side is a self-healing cutting mat with 1/8th increments in white and inch markings in black. We recommend the use of a sharp craft knife rather than a rotary cutter. The other side is a shiny work surface. Zip-Dry Glue and Scor-Tape can easily be removed from this surface. This is NOT a silicon backing. Do not apply direct heat from any source, such as a hot embossing gun or hot glue gun. After scoring, no need to put your Scor-Pal away, simply insert the Scor-Mat and work away.
