(More customer reviews)I have a silhouette of myself as a youth and saw this cartridge. I've actually picked it up many times at the stores, and patiently waited until it went on sale. I'm glad I got it.
The boy cutout has a slight resemblance of my son's profile - so I used that on a few thank you cards. I've used the cutouts of the child's activities on other cards - making Happy Birthday, Thinking of you, Remember when...
This cartridge is nostalgic and when you use funky print paper - gives it a modern twist. The Cakes/add ons are useful for other projects. No matter what cartridge I'm using/project, I've always come back to this one to add on a final touch.
I made a Happy Birthday banner with the font from this, and used a few cut outs of the candles, cupcakes and party hats. I received a lot of wows and oooohhhhs.
My next project, I'm going to get some felt and cut out some images and frame them as art in our bathroom. I'll be changing out the images in relation to the month so that will keep the decoration fresh and interesting.

We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper Tool Review

(More customer reviews)Unfortunately you must first fold open two plastic parts which act as guides to square up your corner. They are low grade plastic and one snapped off the first time I opened it.
The metal part of the tool itself is well designed and cuts crisply, shame that they tried to save a couple pennies by using cheap plastic instead of metal or better plastic for the movable parts.

Zutter Round-it-All / R10 Corner Rounder Tool Review

I make Magnetic signs for cars and trucks and before this I used to cut the corners by hand, not always very good. The R10 is perfect for this as the material is thick and the R10 cuts through it easily and it looks very professional. I love this!

(More customer reviews)This tool is fabulous! I've used it almost on a daily basis since it's so fun to do. It's easy to use and takes up so little space considering the time it saves not to mention wear and tear on the hands. I found it easiest to use by doing one or two sheets at a time, often times running them through twice for a more "tattered" look. I have noticed that it can take a "bite" out of the paper if you tend to put the corner in at an angle- but I like that look. SO it works for me. It does make a bit of noise but since it does not stay on it's not really a problem. I highly recommend this product.

Xyron 3404-33-00 Creatopia Border Patternz Border-Embossing Roller Cartridge, Stars, Xyron 3404-32-00 Creatopia Border Patternz Border-Embossing Roller Cartridge, Dots and Xyron 3404-36-00 Creatopia Border Patternz Border-Embossing Roller Cartridge, Scallop are the currently available offerings of embossing rollers that can be easily changed out on this cartridge.
The Xyron 3404-30-00 Creatopia Border Patternz Roller Cartridge Starter Kit with Bonus Floral Cartridge is part of the "Patternz" line of Xyron's Creatopia. Other lines include: Xyron Shapez (die cutting - available in 2010), Xyron Cutz and Xyron Refillz (laminating and adhesives). Each line adds a new crafting dimension to the Creatopia machine's versatility and all are simple to use. No heat is needed, and you are simply cranking a handle clockwise, feeding the paper through the machine to gain the desired effect.
This kit doesn't come with great instructions, nor does the Creatopia machine, but the rollers have a flat side as do the rods that they are seated on. Note that the flat sides are to the top and bottom of the cartridge as it is seated vertically in the machine. The curved side (where the paper will roll through) is to the center. Make sure the triangles on the rollers (on the side and very small) match up and you will be good to go.
Embossing worked best for me on heavy cardstock. The thinner the paper, the less evident the embossing. Frankly though, this is one of my favorite uses for the Creatopia machine and I hope they come out with more border rollers very soon!
