(More customer reviews)The Rosle pineapple cutter works excellently and saves time in the kitchen and the risk of a knife slipping and causing injury. All the slices come out perfect and with very little effort on my part. I personally can not find any problems with the cutter and think it is a must have tool for any one who like fresh pineapples but does not like having to cut them by hand. I would like to add I did see in a previous review one person stated it was messy and they lost most of the juice. However all you simply need to do to capture the juice without most of it running down the sides of the pineapple on to the work surface is. Fully insert the cutter in to the pineapple as usual, but before you try pulling the slices out hold the pineapple upside down over a clean bowl and then pull the pineapple slices out with a twisting motion, the juice will go in to the bowl and stay clean.

(More customer reviews)I'm sorry to say that the Applemate 3 was a great disappointment. I ordered it because it's supposed to be the most versatile of the apple peelers -- ostensibly it can do any combination of peeling, coring, and paring -- and I have to admit that the unit looks quite handsome and is sturdily made. But it simply did not work for me. I wanted something that would peel and core apples, and I couldn't make the Applemate peel efficiently, try as I did to adjust the blade. I experimented on four apples (two fairly hard, two soft), and each time the blade would begin peeling and then would just slide off and merely scrape the skin. I've seen apple peelers work before, and maybe it's something I was doing wrong; all I know is, this model behaved like a nifty-looking invention that isn't quite perfected yet.
