Chef'n Pepper Ball, Clear Review

It may be good for people with weak hands...as long as they don't really want a lot of pepper. I found the amount of pepper ground per squeeze minimal. My hand gets tired before I get an amount ground equivalent to two twists on a $2.59 self-contained pepper with disposable mill from the condiments section of any grocery store. Half of the pepper stays in the ball to fill the grinder teeth and further reduce the output.
Although advertised as a one hand pepper mill, it is best used as a two handed device. The squeezing action tends to broadcast the ground pepper over a wide area. If you wish to concentrate in a bowl or on a food item, one hand has to steady it over your target.
Refill is a challenge and equivalent time is spent picking up pepper corns that bounce off the small, almost perfectly hidden fill slot.
Again style overrides functionality.

iTouchless Automatic Stainless Steel Pepper Mill and Salt Grinder (2 Pack) Review

April 2008....I have since received a replacement set of these and I really like them. The first set was a disaster (manufacture said a bad batch got shipped to Amazon). I have had these 6 months and had no trouble. I would reccommend.
................Sept 2007..................Within the first week a plastic piece broke and the first unit wouldn't work. Because it's time consuming to send back, I decided to use the second one instead of sending back. 5 weeks after receipt the second mill is broken. Every time you push the button to grind the bottom of the unit pops off. Amazon Customer Service referred me to the owners manual...which doesn't exist and told me to contact manufacturer. Contacting Itouchless web site resulted in them willing to send a replacement set if I pay $9.95 for shipping. Why would I replace a product that is either engineered or manufactured to fail?
It took time and persistance, but Amazon Customer service came through and they agreed to accept the defective products and issue a refund when they receive them. itouchless admitted to a manufacturing error is willing to replace at no charge.

OXO Good Grips Pepper Grinder Review

First, THIS IS A PERFECT PEPPER GRINDER. It has the easiest loading area I have ever seen. It has coarse to fine settings which always come out uniform. It is pretty affordable and it looks good.
Second, when I tried out a slew of pepper grinders, it came down to two major and three minor qualities.
Major:
1. The pepper grinder MUST have adjustable settings, from coarse to fine, and the pepper must come out uniformly. If a pepper grinder can't do this, it does not matter how cheap it is or how cool it looks.
2. The pepper grinder MUST be easy to refill. This is almost as important as #1, and just about as much of a deal-breaker if its poorly designed. Some of the grinders have the most asinine, tiny, and poorly designed holes you could ever imagine.
Minor:
1. It should be affordable. Anything less than $10 and more than $30 should be looked at closely. Under 10 and it just can't possibly be that good, and over 30 means its most likely overpriced. These aren't hard and fast rules, but something to consider.
2. It should be elegant or stylish. I've always preferred something in the silver/black area that tends to go with a variety of kitchen or home decors and just look nice on the table.
3. It is helpful if it faces upward, to keep grinds off the table. This is pretty common nowadays and isn't as hard to find as used to be the case.

Its non-corrosive ceramic grinder won't absorb flavors or odors and is positioned at the top so as not to leave a mess on the counter or table. The grinder easily adjusts from fine to coarse grind and rests flat when upside down for easy refilling. It has a 4-3/4-ounce capacity.
