(More customer reviews)These (and all others like it as I have many) are so easy and simple to use I wondered why I used other dies first.
When I first purchased these items I also wondered how to use them on my Sizzix machine as I do not own the one which these were created for. I went to the Spellbinders website and saw they have some videos which show how to use their dies on multiple systems. The video is showing how easy it is, and easy is nice.
Do not be discouraged by [revious reviewer. These really are simple and easy to use. They are indeed packaged so as not to shift in shipping but that is easily rectified for storage later. If you do not purchase the carrying case to put these in you can simply put them in Ziploc bags and file in a folder. You can put a sample of the die on the outside of the folder for easy locating later if needed.
I recommend these dies as they are versatile and easy to use. If you do not know how to use on your system, go to the Stampabilities website and view their videos showing how to use, or call their number to talk with customer service, as I had done this once as well. I have a Sizzix machine but I use these dies on it.

I just wish it was more affordable and I could get more than one sheet in a packet.

Spellbinders Wizard Nestabilities Dies, Classic and Standard Circles, Set of 4 Review

(More customer reviews)The Nestabilities work great once you fiqure out how to use them with your particular die-cut machine. There are no instructions on how to use the product. But once you get over this hump, they work great cutting all of the shapes included.
They DO NOT EMBOSS however until you buy an embossing pad. Again no instructions so you have to figure this out on your own.
Then there is storage. You need to keep them organized (there are over 100 dies, over 20 in each 4 count pack) but all that is provided is double faced tape to hold them down on cardboard. The tape eventually wears out but in some cases the individual Nestability can be bent due to the force needed to get it off the tape the first time.
Overall the product seem to be in its infancy and needs some improvements to instructions,long term storage and possibly initial packaging. But I am willing to pioneer on!

Spellbinders Shapeabilities Dies-Sunflower 2 Review

(More customer reviews)I love making greeting cards with Sunflowers because they are the state flower where I live (Kansas). These Spellbinder dies make absolutely beautiful flowers that I mount on cards. I love the clean embossing and the large size of the flowers. I use the dies in a Cuttlebug machine and they work great.
There are videos on You Tube that show how to use different brands of cutting and embossing dies in the Cuttlebug, but all that is really necessary is finding a shim that is the right thickness so the layers can pass safely through the machine. I usually use the "A" piece and two "B" pieces for the Nestability dies. If the layers are not thick enough I experiment with layers of cardboard until the layers are thick enough to make the impression I want. I find the cardboard from the back of tablets like legal pads are great for making the shim layers since they can be cut to the size of the plastic pads and are thin enough to add extra layers if needed. Just remember to not make the final layers so thick the handle won't turn--forcing it through the machine can break it.
Storage of the Nestability dies is really easy too. They are very thin metal shapes with a raised edge for cutting. They come mounted on a folded piece of cardboard with double stick tape holding them in place. When storing the dies I fold the cardboard back over the dies to protect them and hold it closed with a paperclip on the edge. If the double stick tape looses its grip a new one can be added under the dies. Many of the sets can be stored in a very small space--I keep them in a clear plastic storage box with my Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Slice Inspirations Project Card Box Review

(More customer reviews)I have had my Slice about a year or so and I enjoy it for the most part. I think it's a little slow when compaired to the bigKick by Sizzix, but I like the fun shapes and the small size of the machine. I bought this for just seven dollars with shipping and I enjoyed the collection of the projects. Each card has an image of the project on the front and once opened (think of a greeting card) there are directions on how to do each craft. It lists the Slice card used and the sizes needed of each shape. Included in the instructions are what other Making Memories products are used- paper, embellishments, stickers, brads- what have you. On the back of the card it gives a silhouette of the Slice design used and lists again what card it can be found on.
These are my complaints-
1. There are a large amount of cards, all of which have a lot of cute fonts and great shapes, but there aren't a lot of them represented. Lots of projects are made with the Fa La La card and the Spellbound card, including multiple things with Basic Shapes 2. But the projects look the same from card to card. There is a lot to be gained from the layouts or at least the general idea but there was a large potential wasted.
2. There are inconsitant numbers of each collection. (Layouts, cards, photo decor, special occasions, and gift giving) Nearly ten cards are nested in the cards section and only three in the gift giving. Just not right...
3. The price is not correct for the product. I bought mine on clearance and it was worth it because it was under ten dollars. I think I'm pleased with it because I didn't have to pay a lot for it.
Hopefully, as I start to work with the cards, I can appreciate it more. As it is, look for it on sale and look for potential, not a complete how-to.

(More customer reviews)This is a very fun cartridege! There are so many variations of what you can do with it. I haven't even touched the tip of the iceberg with this one! Using chipboard to make the dolls and then cutting out the clothes and accessories with the Cricut for little girls is so much fun! Use the lighter weight paper for the clothes, not heavy cardstock! If you've priced paper dolls in the stores, they are quite pricey, so using this cartridge and your own colors to do the hair, etc. on the doll and the colors and patterns of paper you can use for the clothes and accessories is quite cost effective making them with the Cricut. I did these for a great niece and she loves them! I decorated a box with the copy of the doll on the lid and other fun things for her to keep her new paper doll and clothes, etc. in the box. I would give Cricut 10 stars if I could.

The packaging contains instructions for using this with the Cuttlebug, Sizzix, as well as the Spellbinder. However, if want to emboss, you will need the tan embossing mat. I was not able to replicate that step without them. I bought the Shapabilites dies, but I haven't used them yet. I will continue to buy more of these dies.

Cricut Cartridge, Paper Doll Dress Up Review

(More customer reviews)I LOVE this cartridge!!!! You can do so, so, so much with it! My friend actually owns it, but she loaned it to me this past week. My kids wouldn't let me get my own scrapping done. One had me print out a princess scene plus a ballerina and the other child made "Super Flower Man" complete with a super-hero-mobile and an entire dinosaur set complete with a volcano. I was able (after they went to bed at night) to get a set of pirate motif pieces ready for a layout of their birthday party last year . . . ship, girl & boy pirates, jolly rogers, treasure chests . . . totally awesome!
The one thing that I will say about it is that you must use the manual with this cartridge and follow it very closely or you'll end up cutting out the wrong piece. It's not difficult, it's just that you have to be very sure which buttons are pushed to get the piece you want. This cartridge uses a layering technique to create the different characters.
You will not regret purchasing this cartridge if you do a lot of cardmaking or scrapbooking!

It's got the most adorable little critters and the layers are really easy to put together and they have several accessories for each animal and then there is a saying for each one too. It's seriously PACKED FULL of content. I paid more on this cart than any other cart I've bought (I paid $38) and it was absolutely worth every single penny.

I use them with my Cuttlebug V2 Embossing & Die Cutting Machine, and according to the directions that come with the dies, they also work with the Spellbinders Wizard and the Sizzix Big Kick machines.
The directions that come with these dies explain very clearly how to use them with each type of embossing/die-cutting machine. In the case of the Cuttlebug, I didn't have to purchase any new parts except for the dies themselves, and I was up and cutting.
This is a very useful product. I highly recommend it. I actually find that the Nestabilities die cuts are more useful than the ones that carry the Cuttlebug label.
