The DVD gives a short slideshow presentation on how to froth milk followed by three examples of shape making. The rest? Sales: rants and raves about the wonderfull Seatle Barista accademy, trying to get you to come there so you can pay MORE money to really learn anything.
I can understand the concept of a small sample DVD as an advertisement (if they were maybe giving it away) and in that case OK, don't go giving away all your secrets, but I paid $20 for this thing. For that same price I've currently got a Bread making DVD on here that lasts over 40 minutes and shows start to finish how to make everything from Baguettes to Cinnamon rolls. I got sold a digital Flyer.

(More customer reviews)The first thing that caught my eyes was the design. It's sleek and affordable. I've used it almost every day for 1 month now, and it's preforming up to the standard. I use my own rechargeable batteries, which works like those expensive rechargeable frother. My advise, don't get those rechargeable one, they are very expensive. The down for this frother is that there is no instruction of how and where to put in the batteries. Well, you just have to pull out the top of it carefully and insert the batteries. It's that easy.

I used a traditional cappuccino machine previously but now use the Tassimo with discs and love it. The Gevalia expresso decaf is great tasting, very consistent and very enjoyable. I recommend it to anybody who wants flavorful expresso coffee ready in a couple of minutes, no mess and you can even sleep at night! molto bene.... :)

I find it more consistent if I froth cold milk first, then nuke it for about 10 seconds. This way the froth stays "solid" instead of melting away (at least that's the way I like it).
I take it to work and whenever I travel, too. I've been using my extra sets of reachargeable batteries, cos the batteries that came with it only lasted me probably less than a month (I've been using this frother 3x a day since January).

(More customer reviews)I am the world's biggest Keurig milk frother fan, so why am I giving it only 3 stars? Because this expensive and addicting accessory only works reliably for about three months. It froths milk for those first few months like nobody's business, perfectly heating your milk with a snowy mountain of froth on the top - and then it stops working. I know this through extensive personal experience, because I have (hangs head in shame) actually paid for three of these puppies - that's how obsessed I am with them. I returned the first one after a surprisingly contentious phone conversation with a Keurig representative who all but accused me of breaking the item. "You can only use skim milk with it", she admonished me, even though the advertising blurbs for the item say nothing about that. I have dutifully complied with the rules for frothers #2 and #3, but yesterday, when the third one gave up the ghost, predictably, at the 3-month-mark, I decided that my dysfunctional relationship with the Keurig frother has to end. Time to start buying half-and-half again.

Aerolatte 5 Milk Frother, Satin Finish Review

(More customer reviews)I just got the box from Amazon, pulled out my new Aerolatte, removed the protective cover from the battery compartment (yeah, it even comes pre-loaded with a pair of "aerolatte" double A's!), and put about 2 oz of NON-FAT (skim) milk in a glass.
I nuked the milk for about 20 seconds, pulled it from the microwave, stuck the aerolatte in the glass and pushed the switch.
DANG!!
Nearly INSTANT foam. GOBS of it. It formed PEAKS!! You could make small milk-animals out of it.
I really can't believe how well this thing works. The only thing that would ruin it for me is if it simply fell apart after a few uses, but frankly, with a little bit of care, it looks like it'll hold up. We'll see.
But in the meantime, call me Doctor Foam.

Notwithstanding the complaints of people who claim that their aerolatte lasted about 5 minutes, I just replaced the batteries for the first time since buying it back in January. (Yes, it still works, but I was disappointed that I was no longer able to make foam-animals!)
Well a couple of fresh Duracells later, and I sound like a deranged dentist with this thing in my hand. The "buzz" I had become accustomed to, is now a high-pitched whizzing sound, that actually made my molars uncomfortable.
But I'm back to making some seriously decent foam again!

(More customer reviews)In case you're wondering what size to get for a home espresso machine like I was, this is the one!
Any smaller (for example, the 12oz or 16oz) and it won't fit much milk and you'll have to be lucky and skillful to keep it in the pitcher; any bigger (32oz+) and it probably won't fit under your steam wand easily, and you'll have a very hard time steaming only smaller amounts of milk because of the distance from the top to bottom of the pitcher.
This size, on the other hand, is PERFECT - small enough that you can do a one cup latte/cappuccino, but big enough to do two or three. Plus, it's very well made stainless-steel that is very sturdy and will last a long time, no problems there.
So if you've got a home espresso machine, like the DeLonghi or Barilla or Saeco/Starbucks (mine!) then this is what you want.

(More customer reviews)This is one of the more competitively priced 12oz pitcher on Amazon. Its solid construction will ensure years of heavy usage. The previous reviewer commented on its handle but my medium sized hands fit the handle adequately without the need to come into contact with the pitcher. Otherwise, don't fill it to the rim with hot milk.
I pour latte art on my drinks and this pitcher has a nice sharp spout which allows the flow of milk to be easily controlled at the spout.
You can easily steam enough milk in this pitcher for 2 typical 5oz cappuccinos without spilling the milk in the steaming process. Recommended!

But I think I did a mistake my not purchasing a smaller pitcher. I have a Mc Coffee machine that makes a decent cappuccino and I needed a pitcher such as this one. Unfortunately, I did not notice that the size of this pitcher was too large given the length of the steamer in my coffee machine. I am the only one who drinks coffee in my household, so I usually need only a small quantity of milk for my cappuccino. But then I found out that if I use the quantity of milk I usually need, the steamer does not even touch the milk, because the pitcher is too deep.
So, I would recommend this pitcher highly if you routinely prepare at least two cappuccinos, but otherwise you may want to check carefully the size of both the pitcher and the steamer in your coffee machine before buying this product.
