(More customer reviews)Being a coffee snob, I initially laughed at the idea of buying Maxwell House for my Tassimo but after reading some positive reviews I decided to give the MH Cappuccino a try. I was shocked to discover that I prefer it handsdown over the Gevalia cappuccino, and it is a lot cheaper. For $0.79 a drink I can have a satisfying cappuccino that feels like I am indulging. It has an adequate amount of foam on top, and a nice creamy smooth beverage underneath. Would it beat a coffee house cappuccino in a taste test? Probably not, but until coffee houses start selling $0.79 cappuccinos I will happily drink this version. My husband who hates strong coffee (and "fancy" coffee) thought it was great as well. A real winner in our house!

syrup from daVinci, also, bought here on line, and double YUMMY!!!
You can also add some of the flavored creamers, for an added flavor,
whip it in the cup first, then do the milk disk, then the expresso.

I've tried the Gevalia and the Maxwell House cappucinos. They are very, very similary, however, I was suprised to find that I slightly preferred the Maxwell House over the Gevalia. Either way, you can't go wrong.

(More customer reviews)The Gevalia T DISC is very weak compared to home brewing Gevalia ground coffee. Believe it or not the Maxwell House T DISC is actually better, makes a more robust cup of coffee. All the other T DISCs are fabulous - the espresso is just about as good as you would get from a commercial coffee shop. Hot Chocolate is delicious. Hopefully they will re-vamp the Gevalia Signature Blend to make it a better, stronger, more robust cup of coffee like their traditional ground blend.

(More customer reviews)Finally! Starbucks for my Tassimo. I purchased the Tassimo (which is a fabulous machine - but if you're reading this review for T-Discs you probably already know that!) over a year ago to replace my daily Starbucks habit.
Until now, I had been steadily rotating through the store-available coffee selections (Gevalia, Maxwell House, Seattle's Best). These all worked fine, but now I'm really using the machine as I had originally intended.
These T-Discs come 12 to a package, and they're fat (think twice the height of a regular coffee disc). Amazon's price on this two pack is very competitive, and I have recently seen them available at places like Bed Bath & Beyond (more expensive, but instant gratification).
The flavor of this House Blend is true to form - if you're a fan of Starbucks, it will be familar to you. Granted, it's not grinder fresh like you would get from whole beans minced seconds before brewing, but it's pretty darn close. I wasn't sure what to expect but I will definitely be ordering this again.
Even when it's not on sale, it works out to less than a dollar a cup. Cheaper than walking into Starbucks, more expensive than buying a canister of Folgers - but the one cup convenience and superior taste just can't be beat.
Highly recommended for Tassimophiles who crave their Starbucks.

(More customer reviews)Don't be dissappointed in your machine if this is the first T-disc flavor you've tried. It's not your Tassimo, it's the coffee blend. I used to subscribe to Gevalia's delivery service so I've tried a lot of their automatic drip coffees, incl Signature Blend. I'm very dissapointed in the Tassimo disc version. I gave it 2 stars just for smoothness, but otherwise this is a lackluster brew. Not much richness, body, or flavor other than generic "coffee". The "crema" is not much more than window dressing on a pretty boring cup. My husband, who is far less picky about coffee than I am, agreed. Do yourself a favor & try the other coffees available for the Tassimo, incl on their website. The Gevalia Espresso is good, so are the Maxwell House Latte & Capuccino.

(More customer reviews)I asked for a Bosch TAS4511UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Silk Silver specifically because I like a nice espresso in the morning and didn't want to continue to pay city prices for the privilege.
The machine and the Gevalia Espresso T-Discs have not disappointed. Makes one complete demitasse espresso shot, just as it should. We have a high-end super-automatic espresso maker at home that grinds the beans and brews the espresso. The Tassimo machine does NOT brew espresso that rivals the taste of espresso made with that machine using freshly ground beans. However, it DOES produce a very tasty cup of strong espresso with a very nice crema on top. I've purchased espresso at coffee shops that was not nearly as good as the Tassimo brews. Exactly what I was looking to have at the office. As for the Gevalia Espresso, it is a very drinkable espresso, but tastes a bit acidic. I like a very strong espresso, but this is a bit acrid. The addition of sugar is a must. Surprisingly, the Maxwell House espresso pods that come with the Maxwell House Latte kit brew a somewhat more pleasant espresso. However, the Gevalia is quite drinkable.
Overall, here are my impressions of the espresso varieties available for the Tassimo:
Gevalia espresso is a bit acidic and has a slight harsh aftertaste. I find many of the Gevalia coffees are like this. This is a good espresso shot to use for milk-based coffee beverages. Gevalia also has the only decaf alternative.
The Mastro Lorenzo espresso has a nice rich flavor, but lacks the strong "bite" you expect from a good espresso. A good beverage. Most people will like this brand.
The Jacobs espresso that comes packaged with the Tassimo macchiato kit is my favorite. Excellent taste. Nice espresso bite. No harsh aftertaste and a nice crema. Very European espresso flavor. Unfortunately, I have not seen it sold separately.
The Maxwell House espresso that comes packaged with their milk-based kits is surprisingly good. Crema not quite as thick as I like, this is a good mainstream blend. This is probably the least expensive espresso alternative.
Carte Noir Espresso (available at Tassimo Direct) is very tasty. Probably my 2nd favorite. Comes close to the Jacobs and has a nice crema and rich taste with the expected espresso flavor. Tastes closer to what you'd expect to get in a European bistro.
For those who have complained that these espresso pods don't produce a sufficient quantity of espresso (as I said, they DO produce a full demitasse cup), you might want to try the Carte Noir Voluptuoso. While not espresso, it is very strong and is very close to espresso.

Twining's Chai Tea Latte T-Discs Review

(More customer reviews)Found this flavor at Bed Bath and Beyond. I'm not one for teas, usually, but the Tassimo has opened a whole new world of tea-drinking to me. I decided to be a little adventurous and try this one out.
I enjoyed this flavor quite a bit... like most Tassimo flavors using their ultra-pasteurized 2% milk pods, you'll either love or hate the drink because of the milk. Also, I have a real sweet tooth and this drink did not disappoint in that regard, though it might be too sweet for a lot of people. Cloves and cardamom are well-represented in this drink, though the cinnamon and ginger were a little overpowered by the sweetener and the milk. To me, it smells and tastes a lot like a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks, only sweeter and less bitter (yes I know one is tea and the other is espresso).
For those of you terrified of sucralose (SPLENDA), you should know the tea contain it as a sweetener. I personally don't buy into all the paranoia, but I just thought I'd throw that in. My girlfriend is a self-professed "Splenda detector" and hates it, but she didn't notice.
For those of you having trouble with grounds in your drink, try changing your piercing mechanism? The piece can be replaced for $9.99 on the Tassimo website. ... Just my suggestion.

Bosch Tassimo TAS4511UC Coffee Maker, Single Serve Review

(More customer reviews)The Bosch Tassimo is an excellent single-serve brewing machine. I've been using the Keurig system (which I love) for several years, but wanted a machine at the office which could make a decent cup of espresso. This machine does not disappoint.
Overall, it's quieter than the Keurig and more energy efficient. It only heats the water when you are ready to make the coffee. However, it is very fast, so don't worry about speed.
It makes a good cup of espresso. Though not as good as freshly ground beans from our super-automatic at home, the machine makes a better cup than I've had at many coffee shops.
The only difference I can tell between the $99 version and the $139 version is the inclusion of a water filter on the more expensive model and a more attractive finish. Both produce a fine cup of coffee and are sturdy, well-built machines. Because the cheaper model does NOT have a water filter, it holds slightly more water. I plan to use bottled water in my machine, so it makes little difference to me. The Bosch also has a smaller footprint than the Keurig machine.
It produces excellent coffee that is tailored to the type of coffee you are making. The one downside to the system is that there is not the VARIETY of coffee available for it that you can find for the Keurig. But, I think the taste of the coffee is superior, and you can't make an espresso with a Keurig. The Starbuck's blends produced for the coffee maker are excellent and taste fresh. I particularly recommend Starbucks Africa Kitamu, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) for those who like a very strong and bold-flavored coffee. The Starbucks House Blend, Medium, T-Discs for Tassimo System, 6.1-Ounce Packages (Pack of 2) tastes VERY much like the brew you get at the bistro (or better) for a much smaller cost.
Remember, there are TWO different types of milk cartridges for Tassimo. Latte's use a regular steamed milk cartridge and machiatos and cappuccinos use a frothed milk cartridge. Same milk, different texture due to differences in bar coding on each of the disks.

(More customer reviews)When I saw the item listed as 80 T-Discs of espresso for under $50, I was skeptical. I had to take the chance though... and I'm glad I did. Now I have a supply of espresso T-Discs so I can add a double shot to my latte or capuccino. It works great!
So if you're like me and you like a stronger latte or capuccino, or you like to make a black eye coffee (add a shot of espresso to your coffee), then this is a great bargain. There's no need to pay over a dollar for each T-Disc.

(More customer reviews)I guess I am one of the few that love this green tea. I own the Tassimo by Bosch T20 Single Serve Coffee Brewer, White and have a lot of teas and coffees stocked up. During the afternoon or at night I love to grab a green tea and while it is brewing I add SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia, Lemon Drop, 2-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 2) to the glass mug, just a few drops. I don't think the tea is bitter at all and love the flavor of it. Another thing I do my mugs are Libbey 13-Ounce Classic Coffee Mug, Box of 12, Clear and there is a little room left after the tea brews. Once the green cup light on my T20 is blinking to indicate it is ready I put the machine in manual over drive and add more water by pressing the button until the top of the mug is full. I guess with the added water and lemon stevia it is just the right flavor. I love it so much I drink several glasses a day. One of my favorite teas for the Tassimo.

Tassimo Water Filter Review

(More customer reviews)I'm very happy to see this item on Amazon because I find it impossible to locate it at my local stores. Note that this filter only fits the Tassimo machine that allows for a filter (the TA1400 with a 68-oz. water tank). It does not fit the TA1200 with a 50oz water tank (which does not come with a water filter). If your machine originally came with a filter it is the TA1400 and this is the replacement water filter for it. The filter does a good job and allows me to quickly fill the tank with tap water as opposed to using water from my kitchen filter which comes out slowly and takes much longer to fill the tank.

(More customer reviews)I love that Tassimo has milk beverages, but this has a terrible aftertaste because of the artificial sweetener, just like the Twinings Chai Tea Latte (8 Servings), 16-Count T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers (Pack of 2) [Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging]. If you are looking for a diet or low calorie option, this may work for you, but hiding artificial sweetener in normal products will always disappoint those of us that can taste the difference. Just buy the Gevalia Black Iced Coffee, 16-Count T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers (Pack of 2) and add your own sugar and milk and you end up with a very nice iced coffee option. Unfortunately it requires dissolving the sugar and having a refrigerator and milk available.

(More customer reviews)I've tried the Gevalia cappuccino and this brand, and the Maxwell house is much less expensive, and every bit as good. Nice smooth flavor, not quite as strong with the expresso as I would like but still very good. This is going to be a regular selection for me because of its better value for the money-the other brand doesn't have enough of a difference in flavor to make up for the difference in price!
I'm genuinely pleased with Maxwell House Cafe Collection Cappuccino, and will try some of the other versions they have available in T-disks as well.

(More customer reviews)I'm afraid that many of the negative reviews about this product rather miss the point. They even state on the Tassimo website that these discs are best used with the addition of marshmallows or milk, but even without this information, most people would be able to figure it out for themselves.
The Suchard disc contains chocolate syrup. It has no milk, no cream, and no non-dairy creamer. When most people think of "hot chocolate," they think of a drink that's made with milk, no? Just like a latte or a cappucino requires the addition of milk. Yet for some reason the same people who think nothing of adding milk to make a cappucino can't figure out that they need to do the same to make hot chocolate. Baffling.
Use of the Suchard disc without the addition of milk or cream (either the Tassimo milk discs or regular milk) will have the same result as diluting Hershey's syrup with water. Expecting it to taste anything like Swiss Miss or similar packaged cocoas containing powdered milk is unrealistic and unfair. This product is even better used with powdered milk or non-dairy creamer, as it has a richer flavor due to less dilution that way.

(More customer reviews)This would be perfect if it weren't for the sucralose in it. Sadly, the plastic-y sucralose aftertaste practically ruins this drink for me. The chai spices are a nice, not overpowering blend and the creamer foams up and tastes just lovely.
I wish they would leave the artificial sweetener out of the few t-discs that are actually available in the USA (or expand their offerings to include those without as well as with), unfortunately its in the Milka T-Discs, too.
