I like that it is 50wt, which is what Brother embroidery machines are made for. I also like that the thread names/colors matches what the machine is programmed for. I have had very little thread breakage. The bonus prewound bobbins are an excellent addition! It is so nice to not have to spend time threading bobbins. I couldn't be happier!

(More customer reviews)This is an example of user ignorance (not product problems). The foot looked like what we needed for our sewing machine, and my wife swore that it was the one she needed. However, when we got the item, it didn't work on her machine.
Shipping on it was so expensive, it wouldn't have been worth our effort to return the product. We were stuck with something we can't use.
But it wasn't the fault of the seller -- it was our own ignorance.
We finally travelled to a city where they sold the feet, and got a salesman to help us find what we needed.

4 X-Large Spools of White Bobbin Thread. These are 60wt 2ply Filament Bobbin Thread. Each spool has 5000 meters of thread on it. This will last you a long long time and you do not need to worry about running out of Bobbin thread while Embroidering. Each spool is brand new and is individually shrink wrapped to prevent damage from dust. Polyester has little or no lint. Hence your machine will run longer between cleanings. This thread is very shiny appearance, thin, lightweight and yet extremely strong. Embroiders love this since it creates a soft backing, even on dense designs. Many machine quilters like using a filament poly thread in the bobbin. Due to it's slick surface, it works well with metallic threads and heavy cotton threads. The slickness of the filament poly thread does not snag or grab the top thread. Later I used an Olfa and found that it's not nearly as easy to use, but, of course, people get used to it. The only disadvantage of Clover is that you have to remember to close it up each time so you don't accidentally cut yourself. But I think cutting fabric is hard, and Clover makes it easier.

(More customer reviews)This is a pretty nice machine, especially for $150 bucks. It's pretty fast but not too fast and you can adjust your speed easy. It comes with a very useful guide on how to do everything from threading it to making a bobbin to making a buttonhole. My major problem with it is that it can be kind of a drama queen about the bobbin and if you don't make it exactly right then the machine's tension goes all out of wack and you have to make the bobbin again. Most machines are like that though, so whatever. It has some nice stitch functions and can do two needle. For what you're paying you're getting a good deal. It's lasted me for around eight months without any problems and I don't doubt it will last for several more years at least if not more.

It's been a long time since I purchase a sewing machine of any type and I was amazed by automation of this machine. It tells you when there is a problem such as thread breaking or warns you the presser foot hasn't been lowered. It stitches very nice and even. Even my husband was impressed! Watch out, once you get this machine you will be looking at every towel, shirt or piece of cloth wondering what you can embroider on it! A lot of Brother accessories will also fit this machine which makes it very versitle. I chose this machine over the Brother 150 as it had many more options to it. It's worth every cent!

(More customer reviews)The thread ad was a little deceptive. They advertised as thread for Brother machines, which it isn't exactly. They never would give me a definite yes or no on the thread being made for Brother by Brother. I specifically asked them that and they said they had not had any negative responses from Brother owners. That wasn't what the ad stated. It stated thread for Brother machines. The best I could find out was, that it was made in India, but they wouldn't specifically say it was made by Brother for Brother machines. When I received it, at first I was a little disappointed, then I e-mailed them and they told me to give a few spools a try and if I wasn't completely satisfied with it, I could return it and they would refund my money. I thought that was reasonable and gave it a try and it stitched out beautifully. So I thanked them and kept the thread. The only problem was breakage, it seems a little weak, but using a large eyed embroidery needle took care of that.They told me to adjust my tensions on my machine, but I didn't need to touch the tensions by using the larger eyed embroidery needle. Overall, it's basically good thread, beautiful colors and shine to it.

(More customer reviews)Ordered these for my mother who had recently purchased a Brother CS6000I sewing machine, with uses the larger (11.5mm, 7/16th-inch) bobbins. Although (at least at the time of purchase) this product appeared when you searched for the correct Brother part number AND the CS6000I appeared as a buying suggestion on this item's product page, it is important to note that these bobbins are of the smaller type, therefore NOT compatible with the Brother CS6000I. Since "customers who bought this product also bought" the CS6000I, it looks as if it might be a common mistake.
The product itself seems to be of good quality if you need the smaller bobbins, but the important compatibility information that is present on the back of the packaging is missing on the product page.
