(More customer reviews)I love the Keurig K-cup coffees. I had an "elite" brewer in my old apartment. I got a mini for my new apartment because I didn't want to pay the price for the more advanced "elite" brewer. I'm finding the mini OK, but it's not nearly as good as the "elite" one. This machine can only handle one cup at a time. You have to refill it with water every time you want a new cup. There are no settings to automatically set the brewer to make a certain sized cup. Also, it takes a while to heat the water. It's certainly not a bad machine, but it's probably not worth saving $20-30 bucks by getting this one if you drink a lot of coffee.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a single-serving coffee maker awhile ago and found myself burnt out on the available pod flavors. So I got this pod maker and I very much enjoyed being able to make my own pods. However, this product doesn't last very long. I have since read several reviews from other sites with the same problem. My pod maker worked great for about 9 months. After that the heating element would no longer heat. I called the number in the manual several times and got an answering machine every time. I left messages but never did get a response. I refuse to spend another 40 dollars for a product that doesn't even last a year. However, I did find a way to continue making pods. I took the product apart and removed the heating element and all the electronics. The plastic base is the only part you need to keep. I use a small travel size iron to heat the pods which seals them just as well if not better than the original heating element. You will want to use an iron without water to avoid get the pod wet while sealing it.
Note: This product will fail, but with a little adjustment you can still use it to make your favorite coffee pods.

NEW Keurig Mini Plus Personal Brewer RED + Variety K cups Review

(More customer reviews)I have this Keurig in my office at work. It's perfect for my once-a-day cup of coffee so I can wake-up in the morning.
I received my new Mini Plus as a warranty replacement for my Keurig Mini Model B30. Keurig's customer service is wonderful, they immediately sent me a new Mini Plus to replace my B30 as they are no longer being made.
I liked the old Mini better until it quit working. (The pump went out on it after just 3 months). This Mini Plus seems to be built more cheaply than the Mini, but I guess time will tell how long this one lasts.
I also have a problem with the lights flashing at times they should not. For instance, you will see the water lid flashing when it should not be flashing. I know I should contact Customer Service with this, but right now as long as I'm getting a cup of coffee out of it, I'm satisfied.
The Mini Plus has some different features. It has a storable cord, but it doesn't retract on its own, you have to push it in. You need to be careful though, I pushed it in all the way with only the plug sticking out, and it was hard to pull the cord out the next time I used it.
The new Mini Plus also has 3 different fill levels: 6 ounces, 8 ounces, and 10 ounces. The reservoir does not store water, you must add water each time you brew a cup.
I think the 3 water levels is somewhat confusing. It's hard to see where the correct level should be when pouring the water in. I called Keurig and you are supposed to fill the water until it shows up inside the cut-out of the coffee cup, depending on how many ounces you use. It's so dark inside the reservoir it's hard to see. The Keurig representative told me it's easier to fill a measuring cup with the correct amount and pour it in!
A 5" tall cup is your limit with this brewer, and to use the 5" cup, you have to remove the drip tray. This Mini Plus seems to brew a hotter cup of coffee.
I'm hoping this one will grow on me. So far, I'm not in love with it, but it will have "to do" since it's better than stopping at McDonalds for a mocha every morning. And cheaper too.

Medelco RK101 Universal Single Cup Coffee Filter System Review

(More customer reviews)The filter system seemed to work fine initially. It allows you to use your own coffee and makes a much stronger cup than the regular K-cups. You need to use a coarse ground coffee because the filter will allow a few very small particles through but that didn't bother me much. But after just 6-8 weeks use the plastic holder started to break and fall apart. It's made of very thin and cheap plastic and is not designed to last or withstand the high temperatures of the brewer. Oh well, you get what you pay for. I would advise avoiding this product, spending a little more and getting a better quality re-usable system.

We loved the concept and variety the Keurig offered however it's performance has been dismal. Interesting there is no place on the web site that one can call and discuss repairs?
The single serve coffee machines are a great idea waiting for a company that cares about quality to arrive. Keurig is not that company.

(More customer reviews)I do love my Keurig coffee machine, and have sampled a wide variety of coffee flavors they offer. This one is NOT one of my favorites. It's acidic, and that overpowers the vanilla and coffee flavors. You can do much better. The two best I've tried so far are Green Mountain Wild Mountain Blueberry and Gloria Jean's Mudslide (chocolatey). If vanilla is your favorite flavor, I would try the Green Mountain or Gloria Jean version, or one of the others.

(More customer reviews)Currently, this is the only K-Cup 50 pack listed as "mild" on Amazon. I was expecting something with only a little flavor and bitterness, but these K-Cups surprised me. They're not as strong as the bold or extra bold flavors, but the difference is reasonably subtle. They're certainly not bland or tasteless. Also, they do taste to me a little sweet and smoky - just as they are described above.
A note about packaging: when I bought a Coffee People 50 pack from Amazon, the K-Cups came in only one box - a thick, corrugated cardboard Coffee People box. Amazon just stuck the mailing labels on the box and gave it to USPS. When this coffee arrived, the K-Cups were in a thin Timothy's cardboard box, which Amazon had put inside one of their standard corrugated cardboard boxes. The upshot is that these Timothy's 50 packs are mailed double-boxed, unlike the Coffee People 50 packs, and so it seems less likely that the Timothy's 50 packs will get damaged in the mail.

Yes, it tastes like watery hot chocolate with a hint of weak coffee.
But if you were to open the package, you won't find any coffee grounds,
instead you will find POWDERED COCOA MIX that evaporates when it fills with water.
Now I don't mind paying $10.00+ for a box of decent coffee,
but to find out that the pods don't even contain any coffee really ticked me off.
And with that, I hope to have saved you the trouble of ordering this junk.

(More customer reviews)I'm a confirmed hot chocolate snob and yes, I admit I only really wanted a Keurig to make a really quick, banging cup of hot chocolate (and maybe not be on a first name basis with every employee at Dunkin Donuts). In fact, I don't even drink coffee, so the quest for the perfect hot chocolate for the Keurig is not one I take lightly.
Of the brands of hot chocolate I've tried that are made specifically for the Keurig, this one is the best.
I tried a couple of brews before I reviewed this... So here's the conclusion that I've come to:
I have a Keurig Special Edition B60 brewer, and the first brew I did as was suggested by the maker (shake the K-Cup before brewing, brew on 8oz setting). Of course my brewer doesn't have 8oz, so I brewed at 7.25oz, the "middle button." The result was a watery cup of hot chocolate with a fair amount of chocolate flavor, but still a little too watered down for me. The color was really good, rich, dark, and even had some of that nice foamy goodness on the top. I was *very* happy to see when I looked at the empty K-Cup after brewing that there was almost no powder or residue left in the K-Cup, a problem that the other hot chocolate K-Cups really suffer from no matter how hard you shake them and there was almost no thick chocolate gunk at the bottom of the mug when finished. Awesome. So overall, when brewed as suggested, it was the best hot chocolate I've tried for the K-Cup when prepared as-is, but not the best cup of homemade hot chocolate possible.
The next brew I did I shook the K-Cup and brewed on the small cup setting, the 5.25oz brew. The result was a hot chocolate that was a little thicker, beautiful color, lots of that spectacular white foam on top, something that looked like a REAL hot chocolate. The flavor was much more defined, a lot more chocolaty, and very smooth and tasty. Though I did notice that slightly Splenda-like aftertaste which kind of surprised me since I'm largely desensitized to that taste (thank you Fruit2O) and honestly it was ever-so-slightly just too sweet. But wow was it good. Still not the best hot chocolate to make at home, but really good.
Third brew I did I did again on the 5.25oz brew, put a splash of half-and-half in the cup, then brewed. Holy cow in a hat... That was awesome. Finally a substitute for my Dunkin Donuts trips. So, so, so good. No aftertaste, right amount of sweetness and creamy texture. Great, rich color that looks like a melted Hershey Bar. Right up there with the best hot chocolate one can make at home for sure. For sure a taste that competes with hot chocolate I've tried from Dunkin Donuts.
So rating this for me was hard... When made, straight up as suggested, it's OK and even when it's made with less water it's pretty good. Since I think the Keurig is designed for speedy ease-of-use, I think a lot of people are looking for and expecting that great cup of hot chocolate right out of the box. In that way, it delivers an OK product, the best K-Cup hot chocolate available now, but not an overall great cup of hot chocolate. But if you're willing to put two seconds worth of time into making it positively delicious, you will be very richly rewarded with fantastic hot chocolate.
I fluctuated between rating 3 stars because, out of the box, it's only OK, and 4 stars because when adjusted it's amazing... I ended up going 4 star with the assumption that there are a lot of people out there with a Keurig who do coffee or tea where they add creamer and/or sugar to adjust it to their taste, and I see doing this as much the same sort of thing.
Hopefully Keurig will put out a hot chocolate soon that's amazing right out of the box. If we could get them to talk to the Land O Lakes folks (Cocoa Classics Hot Cocoa Drink Mix 7 Variety Pack), there would never be a reason to leave the house for hot chocolate again...

I wondered if the 27-cup version might be the right choice, but decided I really didn't need the capacity, extra height and expense. This is a very simple piece of work, and it seems a bit (quite a bit!) overpriced. However, after a lot of shopping around, I couldn't beat Amazon's deal with Prime. For sure, there is NO CHANCE that I will ever wear this thing out. I'm very satisfied with the build quality, durable finish and functionality of this K-cup carousel.

It is strong but without that bitter aftertaste that sometimes gets confused with "strong." You would not know that you are drinking decaf coffee. We have tried other Emeril K-cups and have been please with them as well.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this item after reading through the reviews on Amazon. I have to say that I haven't been disappointed. The cups contain a blend of arabica and kona coffee. They brew with a nice aroma and color. I would describe them as a medium roast with a medium strength. Depending on your mood you can adjust the strength by adjusting the cup size and changing your creamer. I've had success using whole milk, half and half, and light cream, with light cream being the best in my opinion. The taste is mellow and very smooth. I have read other reviews here that have described them as weak or tasteless. This is simply not the case. I would compare it to the coffee from Dunkin Donuts. If you prefer your coffee extra bold, dark roasted, or strong (Starbucks) then you are just not going to be happy with these. Also, if you prefer to "double brew" your cups to get the most for your money, you will be very disappointed. These will brew a delicious cup of coffee, but only if you use them as directed. Finally I have to say that Amazon is the best place to buy these. They have the best prices and fast shipping. Add this to your subscribe and save to get 15% extra off.
