Very pleasant surprise and delicious with some honey mixed in! Tastes like black tea and not just hot water. Give this a try as an alternative to coffee.

(More customer reviews)The final ingredient on the box is sucralose, but after a serving of this, I'd have thought it was the first ingredient. The first sip is fine, then the sour/bitter aftertase sets in, and completely overwhelmes the tea and spices. If you're not averse to things like Splenda/aspartame/sucralose and all the other names for the chemicals that are fake sugar, then you probably won't object to this. I on the other hand, regret my purchase as a waste of $10. Practically undrinkable.

(More customer reviews)Currently, this is the only K-Cup 50 pack listed as "mild" on Amazon. I was expecting something with only a little flavor and bitterness, but these K-Cups surprised me. They're not as strong as the bold or extra bold flavors, but the difference is reasonably subtle. They're certainly not bland or tasteless. Also, they do taste to me a little sweet and smoky - just as they are described above.
A note about packaging: when I bought a Coffee People 50 pack from Amazon, the K-Cups came in only one box - a thick, corrugated cardboard Coffee People box. Amazon just stuck the mailing labels on the box and gave it to USPS. When this coffee arrived, the K-Cups were in a thin Timothy's cardboard box, which Amazon had put inside one of their standard corrugated cardboard boxes. The upshot is that these Timothy's 50 packs are mailed double-boxed, unlike the Coffee People 50 packs, and so it seems less likely that the Timothy's 50 packs will get damaged in the mail.

(More customer reviews)I'm a confirmed hot chocolate snob and yes, I admit I only really wanted a Keurig to make a really quick, banging cup of hot chocolate (and maybe not be on a first name basis with every employee at Dunkin Donuts). In fact, I don't even drink coffee, so the quest for the perfect hot chocolate for the Keurig is not one I take lightly.
Of the brands of hot chocolate I've tried that are made specifically for the Keurig, this one is the best.
I tried a couple of brews before I reviewed this... So here's the conclusion that I've come to:
I have a Keurig Special Edition B60 brewer, and the first brew I did as was suggested by the maker (shake the K-Cup before brewing, brew on 8oz setting). Of course my brewer doesn't have 8oz, so I brewed at 7.25oz, the "middle button." The result was a watery cup of hot chocolate with a fair amount of chocolate flavor, but still a little too watered down for me. The color was really good, rich, dark, and even had some of that nice foamy goodness on the top. I was *very* happy to see when I looked at the empty K-Cup after brewing that there was almost no powder or residue left in the K-Cup, a problem that the other hot chocolate K-Cups really suffer from no matter how hard you shake them and there was almost no thick chocolate gunk at the bottom of the mug when finished. Awesome. So overall, when brewed as suggested, it was the best hot chocolate I've tried for the K-Cup when prepared as-is, but not the best cup of homemade hot chocolate possible.
The next brew I did I shook the K-Cup and brewed on the small cup setting, the 5.25oz brew. The result was a hot chocolate that was a little thicker, beautiful color, lots of that spectacular white foam on top, something that looked like a REAL hot chocolate. The flavor was much more defined, a lot more chocolaty, and very smooth and tasty. Though I did notice that slightly Splenda-like aftertaste which kind of surprised me since I'm largely desensitized to that taste (thank you Fruit2O) and honestly it was ever-so-slightly just too sweet. But wow was it good. Still not the best hot chocolate to make at home, but really good.
Third brew I did I did again on the 5.25oz brew, put a splash of half-and-half in the cup, then brewed. Holy cow in a hat... That was awesome. Finally a substitute for my Dunkin Donuts trips. So, so, so good. No aftertaste, right amount of sweetness and creamy texture. Great, rich color that looks like a melted Hershey Bar. Right up there with the best hot chocolate one can make at home for sure. For sure a taste that competes with hot chocolate I've tried from Dunkin Donuts.
So rating this for me was hard... When made, straight up as suggested, it's OK and even when it's made with less water it's pretty good. Since I think the Keurig is designed for speedy ease-of-use, I think a lot of people are looking for and expecting that great cup of hot chocolate right out of the box. In that way, it delivers an OK product, the best K-Cup hot chocolate available now, but not an overall great cup of hot chocolate. But if you're willing to put two seconds worth of time into making it positively delicious, you will be very richly rewarded with fantastic hot chocolate.
I fluctuated between rating 3 stars because, out of the box, it's only OK, and 4 stars because when adjusted it's amazing... I ended up going 4 star with the assumption that there are a lot of people out there with a Keurig who do coffee or tea where they add creamer and/or sugar to adjust it to their taste, and I see doing this as much the same sort of thing.
Hopefully Keurig will put out a hot chocolate soon that's amazing right out of the box. If we could get them to talk to the Land O Lakes folks (Cocoa Classics Hot Cocoa Drink Mix 7 Variety Pack), there would never be a reason to leave the house for hot chocolate again...

(More customer reviews)I've been drinking my coffee black for 30 years. I've had 100 percent Kona coffee and know how it tastes. Unfortunately, it's quite expensive and not easy to get where I live. That's why I buy Archer Farms Kona blend when I grind my own beans. It's not too pricey, yet it delivers some of that great Kona flavor.
I looked forward to trying Tully's Kona blend in my new Keurig B60. Don't get me wrong; this coffee's good. But if there's any Kona in it, I sure can't taste it. Although Keurig's website says all Kona blend K-cups contain at least 10 percent Kona, there's nothing on the Tully's box confirming this.
If you want a good cup of coffee, Tully's Kona Blend delivers. If you expect to actually taste any Kona coffee, don't bother.

Timothy's World Coffee, Kona Blend Medium K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50) Review

(More customer reviews)I'm a huge fan of K-Cup coffees. I have reviews for several, including other Timothy's roasts. The Kona Blend is one of my three favorites.
This roast isn't as dark as most would have you believe. It is relatively mellow, not burnt or harsh at all. It is pretty strong though, so if you're looking for a "good morning" caffeine buzz this is a good contender. Not as strong as something like Coffee People K-Cup Dark Roast, Extra Bold Jet Fuel for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) or Coffee People K-Cup Extra Bold Wake Up Call Bold for Keurig Brewers, 24-Count Boxes (Pack of 2) but those are much harsher coffees.
Note that if you've had 100% Kona coffee, this isn't the same. 100% Kona is very smooth and unique tasting but far more expensive than this. This K-Cup is a blend that comes somewhat close but not quite, but in my opinion is a good value. If you really want to experience 100% Kona, you can buy it from Amazon. If you get it in pods it's easier to use with a K-Cup machine, like the Aloha Island Coffee KONA-PODS - Medium Roast, 100% Pure Kona Coffee Pods, 36 Count Box.
Well worth the money. Buy a box!

Coffee People Organic K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50) Review

(More customer reviews)I have been a fan of Newman's Own Organic Extra Bold Fair Trade blend for quite a while now. It has become my "go-to" coffee when using my Keurig B70 coffee maker. However, I am always looking for something new and when Coffee People's Organic Extra Bold came out in Amazon's new frustration-free packaging I had to give it a try.
The first thing that I noticed after brewing a cup was the aroma. It smelled more like freshly ground and traditionally brewed coffee than any other K-cup that I have tried (and I have tried dozens) with a rich, heady aroma. The taste was full with medium-high acidity and a pleasing amount of "bite", as one would expect from a dark-roasted blend. A perfect cup for me when using the 7 1/4 oz. setting but I imagine that some will like the larger cup size as well. I think that this coffee is strong enough to deliver a rich cup even with 9 oz. of water. I also like the fact that it is a certified organic coffee.
As for the packing, Diedrich (who makes coffee under the Coffee People, Gloria Jean and Diedrich name) has worked with Amazon to reduce the amount of packaging needed for their K-cups. All 50 of the pods are in one, heavy-duty box with no additional packaging. I just ripped the top off and stuck the entire thing on my shelf. A nifty way to help reduce waste and a convenient way for me to buy my new go-to coffee!

Keurig My K-Cup 2-Pack Reusable Coffee Filter Basket Replacement Review

(More customer reviews)Something that is important to be aware of is that you can't use just any ground coffee in this filter. I have a Kuerig Elite and bought a standard bag of Dunkin Donuts ground coffee and when I first tried to use it, the water going into the cup overflowed and came out of the overflow which essentially watered down the coffee considerably and had water pouring everywhere. I tried it again, this time with a little less coffee in the filter and had the same result. I contacted Kuerig customer support and they replied and told me to make sure I didn't pack the coffee, the filter was clean, and that the grind wasn't too fine because a fine grind would clog the filter. I cleaned the filter very carefully and even stirred the coffee grounds with the end of the spoon to ensure that it wasn't packed. The results were the same. I haven't tried using a different brand but I will. As for now though, the idea is great but I'm not convinced that there isn't a possible design flaw with this. Once I try a different ground coffee I will update further.

Keurig B31 Coffee Maker, Mini Brewer Review

(More customer reviews)We love this brewer. The best benefit is a fresh, just-brewed cup of coffee every time. The k-cups are more expensive than buying bulk coffee but we were throwing away partially brewed pots of coffee every day with our old brewer. Plus, the savings in time not having to clean the carafe and dump the filter of grounds and then cleaning that is well worth it. Also, you can purchase a reusable filter for it if you want to continue to use non-kcup coffee. Believe me, it is still WAY less expensive than what you pay in the popular coffee houses and the coffee is just as good, or better.
It won't accommodate a tall cup but it is simple to brew into a glass measuring cup and then pour that into your tall cup or travel mug.
Helpful tip: We did have a clogging problem at first. The manual doesn't tell you that there is a "top needle" that can get clogged. Just remove the gasket and take a straightened paper clip to unclog it. If you use your own coffee, use a coarser grind to avoid that problem. HOWEVER, we were leaving the k-cup closed up in there and the grounds were getting cold and stayed stuck in the needle. We found that if you remove the k-cup right after brewing, it doesn't get clogged EVER. Have not had it happen since we discovered that. By the way, Keurig's customer/technical service is absolutely top notch! They stand behind their product and more than make up for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
For those of you who are confused about the amount of water to pour in, we just take the cup we are brewing it in, fill it with water and pour it in. We never worry about seeing where the water level is.
