(More customer reviews)I stumbled upon this item, when searching to get the new Shark steam floor mop, which is being advertised on TV. Unable to find a way to get the "free" mop covers for the unit online, I bumped into this item and found that it seemed much more versatile, for less than what the Shark is selling for. The unit can be used to clean just about anything, while the Shark mop is strictly a floor mop. I had missed the Scunci Steamer I had, which conked out after just about a year of very light use. Very dissappointing. When it worked, it did a great job, but it was not a floor cleaner. This SF-290 is better than both the Shark and the Scunci, for my purposes, because it does everything. I have a one bedroom apartment, and it cleans everything in it just fine. My kitchen floor has never been cleaner, and there is no sticky residue or chemical smell; just clean and fresh. I can freshen the carpeting, and it even removed some stubborn stains that I could not get out, no matter how much scrubbing I'd done. I freshen the furniture as well, which is great to combat my allergies. I don't know if a unit this small would work in a large house, but for a smaller area, it works great! A tip is to turn the mop cover inside out and use it on the other side before washing it. You can also remove it, rinse it out and continue using it for a time. I ordered additional Bissell mop covers, since I figured one would not be enough.

SharperTek Steam Cleaning Floor Mop w/ Pads Review

(More customer reviews)I had researched several different steam mops and maybe they are all like this one and I am just thinking they would do something different than what they do.
But, I personally am disappointed with the idea of a 'steam mop'.
The steam mop left the floors VERY wet. I had thought that it would produce very hot steam that would almost be dry when mopping. This would then allow for the sanitizing and sparkling clean that I thought I would have.
Instead, the mop left the floors SO wet my feet were wet walking on it. It took a long time to dry and I didn't feel the floors were any cleaner. I used it on my sealed wood floor and it was soaking wet and left streaks.
I guess if you are mopping with a regular mop already and having to squeeze it out and use a bucket, this would be great. But if you are wanting something that won't leave your floors as wet as a regular mop, then this is not it.
The cord is short so plan to unplug and move to another outlet. Also, you have to REALLY pay attention as you are mopping and not leave it on and keep it in one spot for even 15 seconds. If the phone rings or a child needs you, turn it off as otherwise it will leave a stain on your floor.
The water does get really hot and it is nice to have the cloths that are washable although the little cord that tightens the cloth kept falling below the mop.
I did like that it is distributed in the US by a local company. When it arrives, you do need to screw in the handle as well as the bottom part but it comes with clear directions and the screws.
I am going back to my dry mop with washable cloth pads and a spray I use on the floor.

Oreck Steam-It Steam Mop Review

(More customer reviews)Let me start by saying that I am a huge Oreck fan. I think that they make quality products that do what they say they do. However, I can't say that this product measures up. They are on the right track but have several details to work out yet. I already own a Shark steam mop but find the handle to be a little short (I am tall) and it doesn't hold enough water to do my whole kitchen area with one fill. I was quite excited to hear that Oreck had a steam mop. I went to the Oreck store and got a demo. I commented then that the 'pad' was loose and coming off while he mopped, and that the head of the mop was being uncooperative during the carpet refresh demo. He made excuses for all so I bought the steam mop. The mop holds about a gallon of water, and has a very tall handle and a long cord. All good things. The quality and construction are excellent. However, the first thing you notice is that it weighs more than your vaccuum. The pad is actually a piece of cotton duck fabric about a foot square with a strip of terry cloth like fabric down the center. Picture a baby diaper from 20 years ago. You lay that on the floor and use those yellow tabs in the picture to pinch the loose ends of the cloth under the yellow tab. I began to mop and noticed right away that the steam production is fast and strong, good, but the mop is very very hard to push. It is heavy and awkward to move and now I know why the salesman spent so much time showing me the shoulder movement I should use to push the mop back and fowards. The forward motion caused everything I picked up with the mop to be pushed into a line of bits and fuzz on the floor so I tried to turn the mop and capture the fuzzy stuff. Immediately the pad came unclipped. I repositioned the pad and tried again. Again the pad came off. I tried to mop around the bathroom toilet, pulling it longways along the side of the toilet, the pad came off. Each time I pulled the mop towards myself, the head of the mop leaves the floor, tilting on its back edge and drags back to me. When I push forward, it flattens out again. The mop handle stores all the water and electronics and weighs close to 10 lbs, the mop head on the other hand is a lightweight hollow piece of plastic. The design of the head is bad because it can't compete with the weight of that handle and because it is like a box, not a flat pad holder. I could not mop under the water shut off valves behind the toilet because the head is too tall and boxxy, nor under the kitchen cupboard kickspace nor under the door backstops along the molding, all because of the height of the head. Each of these places had to be done separately without the steam mop. Lots of rework that day and lots of frustration. It has a snap on piece for the head that lets it glide on carpet so I tried that as well. Like what I saw in the store demo, each stroke out was great, each stroke back found the head flipping up on its back and bouncing back or dragging back towards me. I really can't imagine that the tester of this product actually tried mopping or steaming with it before it was release to market. And yes, I tried bending down lower, changing my angle, going faster, slower, none of it helped. It has 2 rocker switches on the handle covered by a rubbery plastic box. One controls power, the other steam. After leaving the mop for several hours, I came back to find that the power\preheat switch light was out, but that the mop was hot. The switch wasnt fully off, just looked like it. Because of the rubbery box around the switches, it is hard to tell if a switch is completely clicked in one direction or the other and obviously the led on the switch isn't so sure either. Thats a fire hazard in my book. I have boxed this Oreck back up, first thing I have ever returned to Oreck, but it is going back and when they come out with a new improved model, I will give that a try. For now, I really don't think this design is ready for public consumption, too many engineering issues to work out.
The good:
Great construction, holds nearly a gallon of water, produces really good steam really fast, long cord.
The bad:
The water weighs far to much, handle pushes down so hard it makes the head flip up on every backstroke
The power switches are difficult
It is too heavy and awkward to be used as a window washer or steam cleaner as shown in the commercials. Imagine hoisting your heavy full size vacuum up to your windows or stove to clean with it.
The pad is useless because nothing sticks to it, it just collects anything it finds and leaves it at the end of your stroke, it needs to be more like the shark pad, thick, soft and absorbant.
The design of the yellow pad pinchers is rediculous, they don't keep the pad in place if you turn the mop head even a little - the pad comes off immediately. They are similar to a chip clip and are trying to hold a wet cotton cloth under pressure while moving. Not happening.
The head to too tall, can't mop under anything normal, and it is too light to stay positioned on the floor when fighting with the weight of the handle.

Ladybug 2200S Steamer w/ TANCS, Continuous Fill (60 PSI) Review

(More customer reviews)When I started doing research on purchasing a dry vapor steamer, I was going to go with a middle of the road version - not cheap at 600 bucks, but not as nice as this one for sure. I finally decided to go with the ladybug after weeks of poring over information and comparing. One of the best decisions - I use this thing for EVERYTHING. Other machines, when the water gets low, you have to turn off the machine and unplug it and let it cool for like 40 minutes before you can refill it and then turn it back on and wait for it to heat up again. I don't have time to do that - I have to squeeze my cleaning time in when my toddler is napping or sleeping.
I can basically fill the tank, plug it in and turn it on and it's ready to go in about 15 minutes - while it's heating up initially, I clear away the clutter in the room. I start in the kitchen and use the triangle brush with the terrycloth towel to clean the counters, cupboards, fridge and sink basin. This literally takes a couple of minutes tops. It took me SO much longer with crap chemicals and paper towels and/or a sponge. This you just glide over the surfaces and it just melts away the grease and junk and gets soaked up into the towel. It also cools very quickly (like almost instantly) when you stop pulling the trigger for the steam, so I can easily pop off the attachment and put on the spray nozzel and blast the nookes and crannies in the sink, around the handles and the dish sprayer. Then I'll usually get carried away and start disinfecting the drains, cabinet handles, the seal around the fridge and freezer that captures crumbs and grows mildew, the seal area around the dishwasher door that gets disgusting, the stove burners, etc etc etc. But again, this all takes a few minutes. You just fly from one thing to the next and the steam is so hot it is almost dry even after being blasted by the spray nozzel. I usually just wipe over with the another terrycloth towel for the heck of it but you don't have to. Then I slap on the rectangle attachment and toss a towel on there (btw, the short DVD it comes with shows you how to diaper the towel onto the attachments (you don't have to, but they are really nice in capturing the crud that this thing imulsifies off of any surface. It takes about 5 seconds total to do it since the clips are super strong and easy to use) and quickly steam the floor. You can seriously clean and disinfect the entire kitchen in a matter of minutes without a single chemical. Even though we had switched to all natural cleaners, they still leave residue and many have strong scents. Another thing I noticed is that with a dry vapor steamer, everything gleams when it's been cleaned (and our kitchen is super old!). I never realized just how matte the surfaces were after using cleaners since they leave a film behind and a steamer does not. It's just water that you are using.
At this point, after using the blast nearly full steam on the sink for a few minutes, I switch the machine off and can instantly open the cap and refill the tank. You don't have to refill it until it beeps that it's running low, but I usually do it after each major room (bathrooms, kitchen) that I clean because why not? You don't have to wait for it to cool like other machines, you can do it on the fly. Then you pick it up and move it to the next room (for me I tackle the bathrooms next) and plug it in and turn it on and it signals it's ready in a couple minutes (about 2-3) Again, I clean up the clutter in those few minutes and then I'm ready to steam away the bathroom germs. Triangle brush on the walls, ceilings (big mildew hotspot, we have the kind you can't really see. You have to wipe it down and then you see the telltale pink residue on the towel), mirrors, counters, showers, sinks then the floors. I do it in this order so I go from cleanest thing to dirtiest thing - the same towel will capture it all. Plus, the steam is so hot it kills germs on contact so you are not spreading any. You can certainly change towels from item to item if you wish, but you do not have to. (Incidentally, I bought a gigantic lifetime supply of terrycloth towels for 15 bucks at my local discount warehouse store. The machine comes with two, but I do like plowing through clean towels when I do a whole house clean so I can just toss them all in the wash when I'm done, and I usually wash them with the bathroom towels so it makes one big wash I'd have to do once a week anyway - no wasted water!) Then I use the nozzle to blast the toilet bowls and sides/bottoms and I am done and my bathrooms are disinfected and shiny.
For bedrooms/living rooms/etc, I use the window attachment to clean all of the windows, the little wedge attachment for the window sills and tracts (you will not believe the disgusting crap that comes out of them) and closet door tracts, and the triangle brush with towel will seriously destroy dust without knocking it up into the air. You can even use it to disinfect your mattress and carpets if you are worried about ever getting (or god forbid if you HAVE) bedbugs - the steam kills EVERYTHING. Dustmites, pests, everything.
This is pretty much my routine and it has cut down the time it took to clean the house immensely. You only need to have one machine out (okay, you have to vacuum at some point and that is another machine) and it's small and easy to pick up from room to room. It doesn't leave any smells behind - it's amazing the difference you notice when you start using it. Your house will smell completely different! Or rather, it WON'T smell ;) I have used this crazy thing to clean the weirdest stuff - things I had never thought about before. This thing is awesome. Easy to bust it out every night and disinfect the kitchen in a matter of minutes, small enough to fit in the hall closet. Plus I don't have to drain the thing - you can keep the water in there for 3 months before having to do a formal draining. This is with the TANCS version - I am not sure if that applies to one that does not have TANCS. Worth getting as it obliterates crap that is in your tap water as you use it so that just pure clean steam is coming out.
All in all this has changed things considerably for me. With regular cleaners it took me forever - I would spend a couple of hours a night just to get a few rooms done at a time and the house smelled like multiple cleaners. Now I am disinfecting my entire house, getting rid of irritants, never buying anymore cleaners or mops or swiffers or scrubbers and it takes a fraction of the time to clean. I'm finally able to sit my butt down and write a review about something because I am not stuck in the bathroom with spray bottles and antibacterial wipes and toilet brushes.
(By the way, this thing obliterates weeds in the patio and garden (nozzle attachment),and grime in the bbq grills, CARSEATS!!!!!! (anyone with a toddler with milk in a sippy cup or a snack squirreled away in the carseat flaps understands this one) and the garage (garbage bins, anyone?). I've even used it on the garbage cans in the house, the light fixtures (after I took them down of course :P), our toothbrushes once a week (a shot of steam with the nozzle from a few inches away) and my makeup brushes. Heck, I've disassembled the vacuum cleaner and steamed the individual non-electric parts (like the spin brushes and chambers and attachments and so forth). I'm sure I'm forgetting things - use this thing to your imagination (while using common judgement. Don't spray it in, oh... the outlets or your ipod obviously ;P) and you will understand why I'm being such a goober in this review and writing a novel. I can't say enough good things about this purchase.

(More customer reviews)I purchased the Haan 20 Steam Mop about two weeks ago. I have used it countless times already!! The first time I used it I thought it wasn't doing anything...until I did the paper towel test. I scrubbed the area I just went over with the steam mop and the paper towel was WHITE!! I then scrubbed an adjacent area that I did not steam and the paper towel turned gray. We have a very busy household with a dog and a two year old. I cleaned all of our sealed hardwood floors and ceramic tile and now when my 2 year old runs around in her white socks they STAY WHITE!! It is truly amazing. I feel like an infomercial but I really could not be happier with this purchase. My husband got black shoe polish all over our light hardwood floors. Soap and water would not budge it. I pulled out the steam mop just to try it out...shoe polish came right up with one run over it with the steam mop. WOW!! Another plus is that as long as you change the pads regularly the floors are completely dry once you pass over an area. So you don't have to worry about family and pets tracking their dirty shoes and paws through your freshly mopped floors.
Now the cons (though not that bad to me):
1. You are tethered to an outlet. Not too much a problem as we have many outlets all over the house. If you are like me you were changing the water in the mop bucket frequently when using a regular mop...so moving a cord around is much preferred in my book.
2. You have to fill the mop with 8oz of water every 20 minutes or so. A little red light comes on to tell you to fill it up. I have to add water about 4 times to do all the high traffic areas in my home.
3. The microfiber pads need to be changed regularly. Once the pad is saturated it starts to leave wetness that lingers on the floor. If I use two microfibers pads per 8oz. fill-up it seems to be the perfect balance. I have 6 microfiber pads and that is perfect for my 1800 sq ft house.
4. Using the steam mop is a little slower than regular mopping. You don't just rush the mop over the floor. You have to move a little slower so that it has time to steam up the mess and then grab it in the microfiber pad. This adds a little extra time but totally worth it since there are no chemicals and the floor is completely sanitized. I sure wish I had this product when my daughter was crawling. It would have saved time and my back from scrubbing the floors by hand.
Oh, I have the carpet attachment. This is great for sanitizing the carpet, bedding and upholstery. We are an allergic household so it seems to work well for this. You do not use the microfiber pads when using this attachment so I am not sure that it would remove stains. I have not tried it for that yet...but I will when I have the chance.

(More customer reviews)I don't think this mop is expensive at all, especially since the price here (currently [...]) is for 6 mops. This is a great deal since they are $12 each at WalMart. I have a cleaning service where having multiples is a necessity and also use this mop around the house. It is much faster than traditional sweeping and mopping. I can do in 15-20 minutes what used to take almost an hour in my home.
The fact that you can flip it is nice because you can use one side as the dry mop and the other as the wet for smaller areas. It also makes it useful to dust in places like tall shelves or the tops of ceiling fans. Once the pad is washed, it fluffs up and really does grab a lot of hair, dust, and small debris. The nap on the pad is pretty short, so it's not as effective as a true dust mop for dry mopping. You may need to go over the floor with a vacuum or a broom to pick up the finer debris or the things too big/heavy to stick to the microfiber like leaves or grass tracked in from outside. As a wet mop, my only complaints are that it could have a larger cleaning surface and that the angled sides can make it awkward to clean against the wall. If you're hoping to use this primarily as a dry mop, I'd get something else like the 3M Scotch-Brite M-005 Microfiber Hardwood Floor Mop with a spare super duster head or the LIBMAN CO 00117 FLOOR DUST MOP ALL-PURPOSE. I've seen the Libman dust mops at KMart if you're one of those people who wants to see in person before you buy it.
You'll be amazed at how much residue a microfiber mop will get the first time you clean after switching from a traditional mop. The first time with it always makes the pad 2 to 3 times dirtier than the subsequent uses.
For large homes or cleaning professionals, I recommended having spare O'Ceder refills on hand so that you have a clean pad when you need it or for those who prefer to wet and dry mop with separate pads. Other brands of refills are not compatible with the O'Cedar Flip Mop. Amazon has the refills here http://www.amazon.com/Cedar-123442-Microfiber-Flip-Refill/dp/B002IOSZKI. The oldest is housetrained, but now we are starting over with a puppy who will proceed to use our kitchen floor as his bathroom until he learns better. We bought this cleaner tonight at Target (sale right now where you can buy the Floormate for $129.99 and get a $30 Target gift card for Free!!) We debated this purchase for a while, but we are thrilled with the initial results... the water in the tank after we tried it in the kitchen was so horrifying that we immediately set about cleaning the wood foyer that we did not even think was dirty... think again!! We are very pleased and will update our review if our opinion changes. As of right now, I don't know how we ever got through the puppy stage without this last time!!! Quick note - We found that using half the amount of cleaner called for works well with no residue! Enjoy an easy mopping experience!!

(More customer reviews)Five months ago, I hesitantly purchased (directly from Amazon) the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Pocket Mop version with 2 heads and 4 microfiber pocket pads ... but I am SO glad I did. I LOVE this steam mop. I have TILE and WOOD floors throughout my house and they have been nearly impossible to keep clean (as evidenced by my kids' no-so-white sock bottoms). Anyway, I had been researching all of the various steam mops trying to find that "perfect" mop that would work miracles. I thought I had decided on one, but then (while flipping channels) saw the infomercial for this mop. It appeared to be EXACTLY what I was looking for. As with most infomercials, I was VERY skeptical that the product would REALLY do what it claimed to do. Luckily, I took the leap of faith, and purchased one from Amazon.com. I could not be happier with this mop. It REALLY does STEAM (alot) and get all of the gross built up dirt and grime off the floors.
I HATE cleaning floors! I'm more of a carpet person, so for me to say I love this product is absolutely amazing. I had a Hoover FloorMate (which I purchased 7 years ago), but it was ALOT of effort to clean up AFTER ... and it only had the brush scrubbers (so it didn't really WIPE the floors clean) AND it required the special Hoover cleaner (which I ruined mine by using Pine Sol ... which it specifically says not to use). Then I moved to the cheaper (although, not really after you buy all of the disposable pads and cleaner) Swiffer Wet Jet. It was ok for the quick clean-ups, IF my floor was already pretty much clean to begin with. But the Swiffer Wet Jet never CLEANED my floors. It was EXTREMELY frustrating to spend time and money cleaning and then STILL see the dirty sock bottoms (which meant the floors weren't really clean).
PLEASE NOTE: There are TWO (2) versions of the NEWER MODEL steam mop ... the PURPLE version has 2 heads (rectangle and triangle) with 5 PADS (2 rectangle, 2 triangle, 1 purple duster) and the SILVER/metallic version has 3 heads (XL rectangle, rectangle and triange) and 4 PADS (1 XL rectangle, 1 rectangle, 1 triangle, 1 purple duster). Both have the carpet glider. The XL kit, as well as extra PADS can all be purchased separately. I bought mine at Newegg.
The things I like about the Euro Pro Shark Steam Pocket Mop are ...
1. It has a LONG 30ft. cord so you are not constantly plugging and unplugging,
2. It has sturdy/thick microfiber machine washable/reusable TWO-SIDED pads (all of the stains don't come out, but they have held up VERY well to repeated washings),
3. It has a LARGE water tank, so you are not constantly re-filling the tank,
4. It has a SWIVEL head (3 different HEAD sizes/shapes) that FLIPS for two-sided cleaning,
5. It really STEAMS while cleaning and gets off the built on dirt,
6. It cleans WITHOUT any chemicals ... only tap water (I prefer using hot water),
7. It HEATS up quickly (under a minute ... although I usually let it heat for 5 minutes).
Things you should know ...
1. As with mopping, you need to vacuum or sweep BEFORE steam mopping (do this WHILE the mop is heating up).
2. Filling with hot water worked best for me.
3. PUMP/prime the mop about 10 times before you start mopping (this gets the STEAM really going).
4. Make sure you have AT LEAST 2 pads (4-sides of cleaning), especially if your floors are dirty.
5. Do NOT keep using the same pad side once it is dirty (so, check the bottom as you go) or your floors will not be cleaned and look streaky when they dry.
6. I don't *think* this mop actually gets hot enough to really sanitize (I'm not sure if any of them do), but I spray/squirt some vinegar on the floor as I go and mop over that and it seems to work.
7. The steam mop is made of hard plastic, so I'm not sure how well the handle itself is going to last over time with repeated pumpings, etc. I've noticed several reviewers commenting on a broken handle. I would say there is alot of truth in that ... since the manufacturer sells JUST the HANDLE for ~$30 as a "replacement part" on its website ... and I personally think that is an odd "replacement" part (so they must have ALOT of handles breaking). Still, I have not found anything else that does the job like this mop.
Overall, I am VERY HAPPY with this mop! Actually, don't mind (as much) cleaning the floors now ... since they do truly get clean!

I put the scooba to a test after a day of spilled tea and sugar on the floor along with the muddy footprints. I swept the floor and set it loose. It cleaned up everything, even the areas that I missed from the broom. The only areas the scooba does not clean are corners, but it will free up your time to clean other areas in the house.

(More customer reviews)It meets the 80/20 rule. It does 80% of the work that you would do if you did a thorough, good clean yourself. However, I usually don't do a thorough good clean myself on mopping floors since I left the navy.
obviously, make sure that your floor is swept before starting Scooba. (I use my Roomba since I am doubly lazy..) Scooba won't get into the corners, but neither do I when I mop.
The point is.. I don't like mopping. Neither does my wife. The hardwood floors never get mopped. I have a dog & 2 cats. Thus, the kitchen floor always looks like &*$(#! most of the time. Now it doesn't. It looks great. I'd suggest it for people that hate mopping & just want someone (or thing) to do it..
The first time I had scooba clean, it ran, but no water came out, and ittold me to check the tank, so i fiddled with it (pulled it apart & put it together again) and it worked. perhaps I didn't put the little rubber tube in right or didn't snap things together right the first time.
It works great on mud, dried food & dried spills. It missed some hardened, caked on gunk that would take a bit of scrubbing with a brush, or, scrubby part of your mop, but I didn't expect it to get those. In my case, it got up things like hardened jelly & stuff, but whatever the trash can has been grinding into the floor for the last couple years, it couldn't get up.
When you are done with Scooba, you do have to empty it out, give the tank a rinse, and clean the brush & a removable tube, to me though, thats easier than cleaning a mop. Though some people don't clean their mops, I would strongly suggest it with scooba.
You also need to buy their special cleaner, which to me, isn't that bad, since if you didn't use it, you'd be using another cleaner anyway. Scooba is quite efficient, as well. it uses 1/8? cup of cleaner and a quart or so of water on my floor (200 Sq. ft). If I were mopping, I'd be using more of both. I tried vinegar, which did pretty good, but the clorox appears to work better. I bet if you used Scooba more often, then vinegar would be fine.
The best time to use Scooba, in my opinion, is right before leaving in the morning, watching the TV downstairs, or going to bed (provided that 45 minutes of hair dryer sounding noise in another room doesn't bother you). That way the floor is dry when I come back to it. Some people have complained that it leaves the floor too wet after a mopping, but, to me, it appears the same as after when I mop myself.
so, in summary, if you just want the floor mopped. get Scooba. If you a perfectionist, its not for you.

I was looking at the Shark Steam Mop but after reading the reviews about customer service and the all-too-common 6-month life span I was easily persuaded to look at my other options. The Bionaire has a steady stream of steam when you turn it on and all you have to do is push. Other mops required pumping, ouch! This one is also able to be used as a hand-held steamer. Hallelujah! And comes with a carpet glider and triangle head, too! I haven't used it beyond it's main base yet though. I will definitely update when I do.
All-in-all it was love at first mop! I can't wait to go home and clean tonight. The floors still look great one week after their first steam. We have hardwood floors and marble in the bathroom. The hardwood floors haven't looked so good in years!!! The marble in the bathroom is so clean :) Not only can you see the cleanliness of the floors but you can feel it...even after a week! I highly recommend a steam mop and although this one is still new for me, I am very happy with my purchase.

(More customer reviews)I purchased these for a Steamboy steam mop to replace the standard microfiber pads that come with it. These are much sturdier, holding up better than the original pads that tend to pull apart at the seams. I also think that the longer fibers clean better getting into grout and corners far better than the standard ones. My primary complaint is that both versions have a poor fastening system and tend to pull off the steam mop while using it. It would be nice if the manufacturer would design a better closure system that would hold onto the head of the mop. I would have given this a four star review if the design was better. Unfortunately, I have not found any other steam mop pads that fit better so there is not much choice.

(More customer reviews)Okay so Im going to lay it out as Pros and Cons... thats the easiest way to do it I guess. But first off I think the first time I used it I didnt do it right because the second time everything went beautifully.
Pros:
If you take your time with it, you will have a super clean floor. Definately was better than breaking my back on my hands and knees with a sponge. I would rather take extra time with this mop.
Price is Great
Swivels nicely... got behind the toilet in my tiny bathroom.
Cons:
Only 15min of steam... at first this was not enough but like I said i think i was doing it wrong, the second time i got my kitchen floor done in the 15min and it looked beautiful.
No instructions in the box - i probably would have had a better result the first time if there were instructions.
the wash cloth on the bottom is pretty thin and flimsy
You have to wait for it to cool down before you can refill it to use it again (i used this time tho to wash my base boards with a sponge and i had my kids help me out so that wait was not that horrible)
Tips:
The section you put the Lysol in... You have to push the white button looking thing down a few times to get the lysol to work. I didnt do that the first time and i noticed it still sitting in the chamber when i was done.
Move slow... give the heat a few seconds on each spot. you dont have to go too terribly slow but dont just fastly mop like its a regular mop.
Order extra cloths, I had to throw the two in the wash machine before i was done with my floor and wait for them to be done. I did that though because I went over the floor a second coat. Im glad I did to because the second coat/wash I had barely any dirt that time which makes me feel like my floor is spic n span

We have 2 little boys (ages 2 and 4), and we live in our house, so we can have lots of little debris and small drips in our wake. The fluffy white dust mop attachment works great at gathering up even the littlest particles. It doesn't actually pick them up (which is why I say this is "almost perfect"), but you can push everything into a little pile very quickly and over a long distance. It does not leave anything in the micro-bevel edges of our laminate planks, either! I then use my dustbuster to finish the job. The blue microfiber cleaning pad works great with the spray. Just mist a light amount onto a section of the floor, and use the cleaning pad to clean up the sticky spots (think grape juice drips). It takes very little spray and it dries in seconds. I can clean my entire area from start to finish in under 10 minutes. Oh, and the very low-profile of the mop head means I can even get under the front of our range and fridge to get at whatever may have rolled under there! I also purchased a second dust pad and microfiber pad, and they're exact replicas of what comes in the kit. Don't know why some reviewers said they weren't the same as the originals...?
