Just fill up the removable container with water and go, no waiting as the last 2 mops did. The point on the mop helps it get into the corners. I use the steam because I have 4 animals and the steamboy cleaner leaves my floor sanitized without using chemicals.

(More customer reviews)It is really difficult to find reviews of vapor cleaners not sponsored by specific manufacturers. For some reason Consumer Reports has never researched them. This Vapor Clean TR5 was recommended to me by a friend who did 2 years of research before buying. She liked the Ladybug but could not afford it. She has used hers for more than a year with no problems. From other customer reviews it seems that the cheaper plastic vapor cleaners tend to break or have flimsy attachments.
I used this right out of the box to deep clean a tile floor which had only been damp mopped for 6 years. It took 3 hours and many towels but the floor looks brand new. I got the burned on spots off my 20 yr old oven. The very best thing it has done so far is streakfree window cleaning. It runs for 60 mins on one tank of water. It beeps and shuts off when empty. The only drawback I have found so far is that it leaves more wetness on the cleaned surface than I expected.

(More customer reviews)I have a "faux" hardwood floor, and cats, which means extra amounts of dust & hair on the floor. When I bought this product, it seemed like the perfect solution for my situation. I used it for about a month before it broke. It was awesome until the part of the mop head that is "flexible" broke in half. It's a great idea but they need to reinforce the plastic or something so it will last a decent amount of time. I have written the company a letter of complaint and will update my review of this product if their response is something worth reporting.
*UPDATE*
I got a response from the company and was given an 800 number to call for customer service. I called and spoke to a very friendly person who asked me a few questions and then mailed me a coupon good for any product in their line up to the amount of what this one cost me. In this case, it was $10.00. I was also told that the company was redesigning this particular product and it would be out this summer. I went ahead and got one just like it to replace it and it looks like the design flaw is fixed. All in all, I am a satisfied customer and would give this product five stars if I could change it from my original two, but this site won't let me!!

(More customer reviews)This unit does what it is supposed to do for the most part when used as regularly as suggested. It nonetheless incurs costs above and beyond those you'd normally expect, and it doesn't cover as much of the shower/tub as I hoped it would. The unexpected costs are one of the primary reasons it scored so low.
For one, the unit is power hungry, and goes through batteries like no other device I've ever used. Expect one-and-a-half to two weeks, at most, from a set of brand new AA batteries. The instructions on the unit and the manual state not to use rechargeable batteries, but, being the experimental type, I tried them anyway. The unit played its 15 warning beeps and...didn't work. It worked fine when regular batteries were re-installed. Not being able to use rechargeable batteries is disappointing.
Another problem is the coverage area. It covers most of the shower in its spray, but misses the area about 1.5 feet above the tub/shower floor. This area will need to be cleaned as you normally would.
Finally, the unit uses a lot of fluid, or it evaporates very quickly. We went through two and a half bottles of fluid in a given month, running it once a day for two weeks, then cutting back to every other day when we saw how much fluid was used. Since the bottles cost $4 each or more, that's an unexpected cost that adds up quickly.
With its excessive power requirements, inconsistent spray area, and fluid usage, I don't think this unit is worth the money. The increased costs in battery consumption and fluid evaporation, as well as the coverage area, nullify any cleaning benefits provided. The only folks who benefit from this unit would be those who can't do the cleaning themselves due to injury or some other ailment. Otherwise, save the money and use elbow grease and a cleanser every other day or so.

2 Ultra Absorbant Heavy Duty Deluxe H2O H20 Coral Steam Mop Pads Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased these for a Steamboy steam mop to replace the standard microfiber pads that come with it. These are much sturdier, holding up better than the original pads that tend to pull apart at the seams. I also think that the longer fibers clean better getting into grout and corners far better than the standard ones. My primary complaint is that both versions have a poor fastening system and tend to pull off the steam mop while using it. It would be nice if the manufacturer would design a better closure system that would hold onto the head of the mop. I would have given this a four star review if the design was better. Unfortunately, I have not found any other steam mop pads that fit better so there is not much choice.

We have 2 little boys (ages 2 and 4), and we live in our house, so we can have lots of little debris and small drips in our wake. The fluffy white dust mop attachment works great at gathering up even the littlest particles. It doesn't actually pick them up (which is why I say this is "almost perfect"), but you can push everything into a little pile very quickly and over a long distance. It does not leave anything in the micro-bevel edges of our laminate planks, either! I then use my dustbuster to finish the job. The blue microfiber cleaning pad works great with the spray. Just mist a light amount onto a section of the floor, and use the cleaning pad to clean up the sticky spots (think grape juice drips). It takes very little spray and it dries in seconds. I can clean my entire area from start to finish in under 10 minutes. Oh, and the very low-profile of the mop head means I can even get under the front of our range and fridge to get at whatever may have rolled under there! I also purchased a second dust pad and microfiber pad, and they're exact replicas of what comes in the kit. Don't know why some reviewers said they weren't the same as the originals...?

I read dozens and dozens of reviews on every conceivable type of hard surface floor cleaner. There seems to be 2 complaints about this mop...short charge time, and it didn't get the floor "hands and knees" clean. Well, if you are that anal that you still mop on your hands and knees, more power to you! I wanted something that would clean the floor after a new puppy accident, grandchildren spills and tracked-in mud on a day to day basis. And this mop works great! I can clean all my floors twice on one charge (which is about 1600 square feet, so not huge), and as far as the complaint about the water not staying real hot, news flash, if you use a antibiotical cleaner, you don't need hot water. I have not had any streaks, it picks up all the water and leaves the floor just damp. Apparently, some buyers expected it to leave the floor totally dry...and just how would that be managed? Built in hair dryer? And no, it is not a vacuum; you have to broom sweep first. But who doesn't sweep before they mop?
For the money, I think it's a great answer to the problem. It is easy to fill, easy to empty, and easy to store. I would (and have) recommend it to family and friends. If I had any suggestion for improvement, it would be to lower the brushes about a 1/4 inch to get even better scrubbing action.

I just put this dusting pad in the wash, and put a Bona replacement dusting pad on the mop. What a disappointment. It is chintzy, with not nearly as much loft or bulk, looks like a cheap imitation of the dusting pad that came with the Bona kit, and will certainly not pick up as much dust.

They are not genuine Oreck bags.The bags came in a package that did not have the Oreck logo on it and it stated that the bags fit the Oreck Type CC. The package says "Envirocare Technologies which is not part of the Oreck Corp. The picture of the product I thought I was buying showed an Oreck package. Also, everyone who owns an Oreck knows that the bags are green and not white. I was stupid enough to buy two packages so I am stuck with them. It just isn't worth the hassle of returning them and paying the postage. I can't believe they can get away with such lie because in reality what I bought were generic bags and not original.

It's bad enough taht they're bad for the environment, they also don't work as well as the price tag says they should. Thank goodness for this attachment set!
All hype aside, this product works exactly as the makers claim. Use the power of your vacuum to get all the crap out of your keyboard, CPU, stereo and anywhere else. I particularly like the brushes.
I've also found that the dust I'm after is stubborn. You really do need the full power of a vacuum to get at it. So forget those handheld deals that hook into your USB port or whatever. This product is cheaper than a lot of them and works better than all of them.
