(More customer reviews)Just ordered two for my classroom. I took them home this week end to trial them, and they work really well! Just plug it in, wait for the hot plate to get hot, add batter and spread with the spreader. It may be awkward at first, but as you keep trying, you'll get the hang of it. Crepes are thin or thick, according to recipe or how you like them. It just keeps them coming. I made some ham/cheese cream ones, and hot nutella ones. Amazing.
At that price, I am very glad I got a couple. I have French classes of 10-25 students, and it will be greatly interactive to make their own. I would recommend it to anyone who wants an easy to use machine, that can be very convivial. It makes big crepes, and you'll want to be careful with little hands if they can reach the preparation area.
Also, just like the pic shows, there is a lip around the edge, so if you're looking for a "real one", read expensive, professional one, that one won't do. Also, I bought a Berard 20275 French Olive-Wood Handcrafted Pancake Spatulato go with it, and I would highly recommend something of the sort to go with it. It makes the flipping way easier. This particular one worked wonder. Insertion of the spatula isn't too hard, even with the lip.
Just one little drawback: the cord is fairly short. Happy eating!

1st time using mower, lawn has never been mowed before.
Experience:
Assembly is straight forward, simple and succint. After assembly, took it out for a test drive. I ended up mowing my whole lawn and had the urge to mow some of my neighbors lawn with it just because it was so fun. It has 3 settings high mid and low. High setting was already fairly low. The blade was clean cut and managed to get a relatively smooth cutting over the whole lawn. Using electric was also a plus. No gas smell and is a lot less noisy than my neighbors behemoth. The grass catcher is easy to detach and reattach. The handle bar has a safety button which gets kind of annoying because once you stop, you have to repress the button and start again.
Overall is very excellent. It is a little mower with great potential. Though don't try to run this through huge amounts of grass like a light saber. It won't work. Just take it slow and it'll do its job.
Highly recommend for first time buyer. Maybe second time buyers if you are looking for something small.

Miallegro 1090 Coffee Maker 12-cup Automatic Drip Review

(More customer reviews)This is the third Miallegro product I've bought, and like it as much as the other two. I got their MiTutto hand blender (real powerful!) and a fan before. Since they looked stylish and have held up well, I decided to go for this coffee maker. I had a Senseo before, but thought the pads were a bit pricey - so I wanted something easy and simple but still looked good.
The coffee maker doesn't really come with any bells n' whistles - instead, it's just easy to use, pretty reliable and shuts off automatically after an hour or so. I do like the permanent filter that's included - no need to buy the paper ones any more. I just take it out and rinse the grinds out in the sink.
One drawback is that it doesn't seem to really make 12 big cups. I started poking around, and it seems they're basing it on European-sized coffee cups, which are smaller than the big American ones. So, expect to make about 9 or 10 Yankee-size cups o' Joe.
So, i'm still very satisfied with my Miallegro purchases and will probably buy from them again.

My Weigh Elite Series Bathroom Body Weight Scale - 400 lb Review

(More customer reviews)I just got this scale to replace an older digital scale that broke, and I'm very impressed.
To weigh yourself, you step on the scale, wait about 3-4 seconds for the scale to stabilize, and look at the reading. The weight is easy to read -- large numerals with a backlight. The only drawback of the backlight is that it will increase battery usage. You have a choice of units -- pounds, kilograms, or stones.
The scale itself is very sleek and low profile. It's 11.8 inches (width) x 11.7 inches. Some scales (both digital and analog) make a clunking sound as you step on, but this is totally silent.
Like most digital scales, it has to be placed on a hard surface such as tile or wood.
Some digital scales have a "fake repeatability." That is, if you weigh yourself, and then hold a small weight and step on again, it gives exactly the same value. This scale doesn't have this undesirable feature. If you hold a small weight, it gives an honest result.
I measured the variability of nine readings. The range (max minus min) was 0.4 pounds, and the standard deviation was 0.12 pounds. This is excellent, and much better than my previous scale.
I think that the absolute reading is very close to correct, but I haven't had a chance yet to compare this scale to the one at my doctor's office.
The instructions warn that the glass surface is slippery when wet. It's not a scale you want to use after stepping out of the shower or bath.
Update January 2011:
After 18 months (and one battery change), it's still working perfectly, but I want to add one more point that other reviewers have mentioned. You do need to remain very still after you get on the scale; otherwise the reading may not lock. To make it work, I stand still for about 5 or 6 seconds. Just stand still and look straight ahead; don't look down at the scale until this time has passed. Occasionally the first reading fails. In that case, step off, wait for the display to go off, and get on again. If the first try fails, the second one almost always succeeds. A person with a balance problem, however, would have difficulty getting a good reading.
I've confirmed that this scale displays a weight extremely close to the one at my doctor's office. (There's no guarantee, of course, that other scales of this model will be equally accurate.)

(More customer reviews)This vacuum sealer is amazing. Honestly it does take a few times of practicing to get it working just to your liking. I just butchered a 120 lbs of deer meat and I have never seen a vacuum sealer do this good of a job! My father owns a food saver and it crapped out on him after a week of the abuse that we usually put these things through.
I bought this item for the sole purpose of sealing in my garden vegetables, my venison(deer), beef that I get butchered, freshly caught fish and anything else that I would want preserved. I recommend using the rolls of bags as opposed to the precut bags as you have more control over the amount of storage space you get in a single bag. I have never seen this device seal a bag and not suck ALL of the air out of the bag.It takes a small amount of force to hold it closed until the hands free light comes on, any child over the age of 14 could operate this machine(honestly as hot as the sealing strip gets I wouldn't want a kid operating it anyway). I do not have any experience with the accessories as I don't use them, but, I cant recommend it enough, just have to be smarter than the machine is all...

(More customer reviews)I really wanted to like this scale as it was cheap and looked good. Out of the box I liked the sleek design, but that is where it ended. Weights seem highly inaccurate, and worst of all fluctuate all over. Today weights were within a 10 lb range, but since I got this over a week ago they have been in a 20 lb range. I thought I was doing something wrong, even looking up some online info on how to use these properly (the instructions that came with it were pretty lacking). But no, I was using it on a hard surface (hard wood floor) and not moving it. I'll be returning it to Amazon if they let me. Major disappointment.

First, I had a Tanita scale; it told me my weight, body fat, water weight, bone weight, if my toe nails needed to be cut, etc. However, I could not read the display and as executive/non-athlete I did not need all this information. When that scale died, I went looking for a good solid simple scale. I liked the way this scale looked and the reviews on Amazon were good. Plus, the price was great. I got it right away, and it was great. Looked good, easy to read, and I liked the 0.2 denominations. However, unfortunately it stopped working after two weeks. I went to return it on Amazon and posted a disappointing review. Then the most amazing thing happened...this really happened...about an hour after I posted my review, I was contacted by the company. They read my review and apologized that my unit was not operating the way that it was supposed, discussed their high quality control and that this should not have happened, and then they sent me a replacement right away. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! They are family run operation that prides themselves on customer service and providing people with a quality product. THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! There are so few of these good companies left. I was very impressed. I am a very happy customer again and will buy other products from this company!! I hope you will too.
