(More customer reviews)I am a juicing fanatic! So naturally I wanted to try all of the juicers and comparison shop before I bought my own. I must say, the Braun Juice Extractor takes the cake! Here's why:
1. This Juicer is easy to assemble: the Juiceman Jr always was difficult to connect all of the parts together.
2. This Juicer is easy to DISassemble: Trying to take the rotating mesh blade off of the Juiceman Jr is a pain (and can be painfull!)
3. The design is VERY spacesaving and ergonomically correct: The Juiceman Jr has a large, unnatached bin and normal glass that doesn't fit or store well with the juicer unit. The Braun Juice Extractor however, fits together in all one base unit, and even the pouring bin that recieves the juice snuggly fits against the juicer unit.
4. The REALLY cool foam strainer: This is the best part! If you've ever juiced, you know what a pain the foam at the top is! You can't get rid of the foam without actually straining it or scooping it away; you can kiss that foam goodbye with the strainer!
5. The detachable tray at the top allows you to hold your fruit and veggies without messing up other bowls and cutting boards.
6. It's just better that all the rest! Try it, and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!

If the motor gives out, I may be out of luck. Here's hoping Braun will figure out how to make this fantastic product for US use again.

He was washing it with a brush and barely bumped it on the sink, and while it did not break it did put a large crack around the carafe. We are very careful while handling it, primarily for the reasons listed by other reviewers, and we've only had it about 6 weeks. Maybe the glass is a little thin or not tempered properly? Either way, be careful while washing it.

(More customer reviews)I have the Bosch Compact Mixer. I had trouble getting this to connect to the mixer. I called Bosch customer service in CA and discovered how to attach this. You must put the cover on the processor and snap it in place just as if you were going to process food. This moves the plastic tab on the bottom out of the way so it will attach. Works great once you know the secret!

(More customer reviews)I was a little concerned about opening up shop away from home, 3 states away, and having to leave my tried and true Krups Pro Aroma behind. Granted, its an 8 year old model, but it made a great cup of coffee, and I had mastered the fairly simple interface for programming and setup.
In my search, I read a LOT of negative reviews about the new Krups product family. Really not a surprise cause even the Pro Aroma had its many quirks, but still.....the coffee. So, after reading a bunch of bad reviews on Braun, Mr Coffee, Cuisinart, and Krups coffeemakers, I figured $60 was worth the risk to plunk down on this model. My first impression when I opened the box was that the coffemaker was solid and well constructed, but that the carafe was too light and thinly formed. But after two weeks of use I really cant find anything to complain about.
Yes, the carafe is very light, but I like it. And it pours well with no drips. I havent yet attempted to program the machine cause thats not a necessity for me, but hit the "ON" button and in about 5 minutes you have a fast, hot, and extraordinarily flavored pot of coffee. And this is honestly the best coffee I've ever had from this machine, even much better than my old Pro Aroma from the same manufacturer.
I dont know how Krups does it, and I dont care, this machine is just one of the best on the market today, and probably thee best when we're talking about the quality of the end result...which is all that matters. 5 beans

I actually purchased the white unit but it's the same as this one except for the color and metal trim. I bought this machine locally and then went and read the reviews here on Amazon to make sure it was an OK unit. I was on the verge of returning it due to some of the negative comments but I figured "ah, to heck with it" and went ahead and set it up. First off, it makes a great cup of coffee and it's EASY to program. The pot is easy to pour...NO DRIPS and the water level indicator works as it should. I just wonder if all the negative reviewers work for the competition because I found no problems with this unit at all. Now, of course, time will tell if it will last many years as did my last machine but my first impressions are very good.

Braun Syncro Shaver System Clean & Renew Refills Review

(More customer reviews)You don't HAVE to use the cleaning function of the Braun. You can use it like any other shaver and clean it with a brush. But if you don't mind paying ~$60/year on these refills, then the cleaning system works great. I hope eventually someone decides to make generic versions of the refills or sells the fluid only so we can refill them (like they do with inkjet printer cartridges). I would NOT take the advice of the guy who recommended using alcohol and lemon juice as a refilling liquid. Lemon has sugar (and other impurities) in it, and alcohol doesn't have lubricating agents and may strip the lubricating that the blades need.
Cleaning every other day may seem like a money-saving idea, but I have found that even if you don't use it for weeks, the cleaning fluid still evaporates and you have to replace it almost as frequently, so I figure I might as well get the benefit of cleaning rather than let the stuff just evaporate away.
I hope Amazon starts selling these things directly since buying it from J&R is not a good deal because of the shipping charges. Instead, go to Walgreens or some other store that sells the shaver system, and buy it there. BestBuy.com sells it for the same price with free shipping. J&R's prices are regular street prices (not 50% off).

BUNN GRXB Original 10-Cup Home Coffee Brewer, Black Review

(More customer reviews)I've had 3 of these in the last 10 years (I don't baby my coffeemakers, and eventually the hard water kills them). I am not the patient type, so I prefer the Bunn because it makes a full pot in 3 mins. I can start the coffee, get the cup and the creamer, and the coffee is ready.
I prefer this version over the newer one, as I am not too certain of the swivel lid on the newer ones remaining flat and not breaking.
I would recommend that you use the Bunn coffee filters, which are available at most stores. Anything else is probably too short to properly fit the filter container, and you'll get grounds in your coffee pot.
I also recommend using a pretty fine grind of coffee. That seems to get the best flavor.

Krups KM1010 Prelude 10-Cup Manual Coffee Maker Review

(More customer reviews)I love Krups coffee makers - I always receive compliments that I make good coffee and I'm pretty sure it isn't my own expertise! I ordered this coffee maker because I wanted a simple on/off machine. This fits the bill, but it does have a few issues that I would redesign if possible. The whole top is the lid - unlike my previous which just a small section opened and I could leave it open under the cabinets to air out - this one doesn't fit under my cabinet with the lid open. I usually pull mine out from under the cabinet when it is brewing and then slide it back under them when finished so that the steam doesn't damage the cabinets. This one has very sticky feet that don't slide easily. Lastly, it is a bit tricky to nest the filter into position to shut the lid. I have had it over a month and still have to jiggle the filter into place to get it to fit correctly. Nice sturdy carafe.

If you go to the Braun Web site and want to search for your model coffee maker, be aware that Braun thinks these are two word model numbers. Their search engine wants you to enter KF + 157 for the KF157 model.
The filters work. We like them more for the hard water problem than the chlorine issue. The filter does both well. Just pricey.

(More customer reviews)We all know that too much coffee is terrible for the body in several ways. So, instead of using the 12-cup coffee maker, we decided to go with a smaller one - to force me to drink less coffee. I love this product for a number of reasons.
Pros:
- Perfect size for a single coffee drinker.
- Timer is great. Every other 4-cup maker that I found were switch based without a timer setting. Timer settings are really helpful when you want to just get your coffee and go.
- Easy to clean. This product has a removeable filter cup for easy cleaning. Also, the auto-pause in brewing is helpful to both allow for quick removal and less spilling.
Cons:
- It takes a little longer to brew 4 cups with this maker as it does in a larger maker. This may simply be due to the size of the product.
Summary:
- I really like this product. It makes coffee perfectly. It is compact and takes up very little space. It is perfect for my coffee needs.

Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt Review

(More customer reviews)About 25 years ago, my wife and I bought a Braun food processor. We used it for over 23 years, replacing the bowl once and the stalks that held the cutting disks about three times. We only gave it up when it started leaking oil. We replaced it with a Cuisinart that didn't have multiple speeds and did have a complicated and largely inscrutable lid locking system that ultimately failed--we needed to stick a screwdriver into the lid to make it work. So we found this Braun, which is similar to but an improvement on our old one, and it's great! Very lightweight, the bowl and lid simply snap into place, there's infinite speed control, and the cutting disks and stalks have been redesigned to be much sturdier. Beats Cuisinart by a mile.
